Pursuit Dynamics plc is a UK based research and development company, which was founded in 2000 to develop and commercialise a revolutionary pumping and propulsion technology. Pursuit Dynamics (symbol: PDX) was listed on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange in May 2001.
PDX 25 Sonic.
The PDX Technology is a steam-based system that has applications in both pumping and marine propulsion. It is cheap to manufacture, extremely robust, contains no moving parts and is virtually impossible to block. Pursuit Dynamics owns 100% of the Intellectual Property Rights that surround the PDX Technology.
Pursuit Dynamics is now working towards the commercialisation of the technology it has developed.

Hoot,
Well the start of the week was duller than expected, and the results anounced yesterday were lacking in excitement, insofar as they didn't confirm any deals, contrary to our hopes and expectations.
The market was clearly disappoined, with a 93p bid price at one time, but PDX has recovered for the moment to reclaim the 100p support level.
In some ways this has shown a level of supoport for PDX, that some suggested was not there, so imagine what will happen when news is announced!

11 November 2003
PURSUIT DYNAMICS PLC ('PURSUIT' OR 'THE COMPANY')
PURSUIT DYNAMICS SIGNS ADDITIONAL TRIALS & EXCLUSIVITY AGREEMENT WITH
CONFECTIONERY MANUFACTURER
Further to the Company's announcement dated 1 September 2003 and following
completion of initial trials of its innovative PDX Technology in confectionery
and soft drinks applications with a leading confectionery manufacturer, Pursuit
is pleased to announce that it has now entered into an agreement that
incorporates further development trials with the same manufacturer.
The trials are fully funded by the manufacturer and are scheduled to be
completed by the end of 2003. In addition to funding the trials, the
manufacturer will pay Pursuit 15,000 per month to maintain exclusivity for the
trialling of the PDX Technology in confectionery and soft drinks applications
until, at the latest, March 4 2004.
John Heathcote, Chief Executive Officer of Pursuit said: 'This is more good news
for Pursuit. We are successfully marketing our PDX Fluids Handling System
across a broad range of processing industries. We are developing strong
relationships with dominant companies in our targeted sectors with a view to
bringing our technology into commercial use in a structured and timely fashion.'

Legins,
PDX is moving nicely north now, and clearly something seems to be afoot, as volume is rising.
I wonder if the confectionary trial has been a success?

Andy,
We might have to wait until 4MAR for an RNS but IMHO the trials were a sucess prior to the extension in order for time to negotiate & thrash out contract details. No company ("the manufacturer" has to be CRBY) in their right mind would pay 45K for a 3mnth tempory exclusivity period unless they intend to complete a deal. The contract will be announced.
Countdown to contract 5Wks 6Days.

legins,
Let's hope so, but it isn't in the bag until the ink is dry, and the RNS is issued, IMHO!
I was wondering if we may hear something else first, maybe a smaller deal, like waste water or brewing perhaps?
Legins

Andy,
True, but in my view by paying 45K for the 3month exclusivity period its as good as a letter of intent.
It would be nice if there are some other contracts news sooner rather than later from another industry and waste water or brewing are in mind each of which are $billion markets. Not so small as you might think!
One possibility is that if CBRY are "the manufacturer" who signs the deal, Cadbury-Schweppes, is a large multi-national with a highly ethical & environmental policies. Due to their size, all their factories would have the need of PDX's technology to be used for both their manufacturing and waste/waste-water disposal & recycling processes?
In which case will the expected licence and royalty deal, hence the real reason for the trials extension, cover PDX technology licences in food & confectionery, brewing and waste water industries all in one deal. CBRY have the financial, marketing and sales muscle to do just this.

Legins,
Very true, but I have heard mention of a small(ish) contract with a brewer in the UK being a possibility, so my comment was based on that.
I think a large multi-national confectioner would have more then one use for the technology, though I doubt waste water, as they presumably already dispose of this into the sewer network.

They could use the technology in the treatment works, macerator etc etc, not
a pleasant subject but could be worth lots of money, maybe RWE might be involvoed.....

Countdown to contract deal 5Wks 3Days.
So far 75K has been invested by "the manufacturer" in trial & trial extension periods to ensure exclusivity is secured.
Keep a close watch

Legins,
Well I hope you're right, they could even sign before the end of the trial period.
Legins

Andy,
That is right, they could sign before the end of the trial as intimated in their RNS which said :-
"In addition to funding the trials, the manufacturer will pay Pursuit 15,000 per month to maintain exclusivity for the trialling of the PDX Technology in confectionery and soft drinks applications until, at the latest, March 4 2004."
Making an early announcement of a contract deal would most likely be in the next 10days and save the manufacturer another 15K on the trial costs, but this would be like 'water off a ducks back' to them and so could easily go the full term.
Revised countdown to contract deal either :- 10Days or 5Wks 3Days

Hi all, this seems to be creeping up each day, wish i knew when the results would be being broadcast, someone is building a nice holding, last 7 days this

Anyone got any news why this share is heading south very fast, is it just because whole market is depressed today or is something afoot, up nicely just
wondering if its time to take profit, thought results were soon!

AdieH,
Sometimes it's not so wise to take profits if your stop loss is triggered by MM's tree shaking to gather stock ready for the contract news expected. Could be better to hedge your bet. Depends upon how much faith you have in PDX and their technology.

Thansk for that legins, i have great faith in technology just wondered why the price drops when its been gaining recently, just thought someone might have some news, so you think its the MM's playing again? I am staying for the long term, until someone buys this company....
