How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?
Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

Yes. The website and the api are both 'sticking' occasionally & bets are not being settled.

Take a look at Aus v Saffers 1 dayer.
Aus are 221-2 and only after 31 overs. They're absolutely tearing the SA bowlers apart....Great entertainment. Possibility of 400+
Aus odds are an unbelievable 1.08. I don't think I've ever seen odds at this level before with so much more of the game to go

Truly awesome stuff from the Aussies, especially if you bought their runs spread at 282 :-)

A truly astonishing 1 dayer! Over 750 runs scored already.
Been out for a couple of hours and thought the game would be dead by now.

theyre gonna have to have a dart soon and a wicket will crucify the price

Wish I'd got out at 1.34 too.
I realise now that odds can overreact in a very drastic manner as soon as a wicket goes in close games such as todays and need to be quick to capitalise on such opportunities.

Boucher the only danger to you now bak, another bit of evidence that in high scoring games the runs on the board are a big advantage
