it is in the interest of ever football club to start a fund or in the end it will destoy the game they would be no one to make up a league

coeliac1 - 02 Mar 2012 18:07 - 939 of 6918

So far as I can tell Scottish and English football is funded by a mixture of oligarchs and the UK taxpayer, and a bit by people like me who pay to watch.

HARRYCAT - 03 Mar 2012 17:54 - 940 of 6918

Stan, I thought your boys had it in the bag at half time (2-0)!!!

Villas-Boas sacked by Chelsea: AVB goes after just nine months

Chelsea's decision comes on the back of Saturday's 1-0 defeat by West Bromwich Albion and a run of just three Premier League wins in their last 12 games.

Stan - 05 Mar 2012 17:28 - 951 of 6918

"Stan, I thought your boys had it in the bag at half time (2-0)!!!"

Your not the only one Harry -): but as soon as Duff went off injured (H.T. I think) that was it. Very young team Howe is building but you still need a few old more experienced heads out there as we know.

Lukas Podolski to sign for Arsenal from Cologne

Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign Germany striker Lukas Podolski from Cologne, BBC Sport understands.
Reports suggest the Gunners will pay £10.9m for the 26-year-old on a four-year contract worth £100,000 a week.

Chris Carson - 08 Mar 2012 23:19 - 954 of 6918

Nicked from the Daily Telegraph but so true ......

Man Utd 2 Athletic Bilbao 3, Out Played, Out Passed And Outsung!

Gutted! :O)

DEGEA Uniteds man of the match was outstanding, he saved them from severe embarrasment. Thought ROONEY was also brilliant in defence. To be fair he took the penalty well. Even the commentator saw the funny side. "Old Trafford is no longer a fortress, it's a gift shop" Brilliant :O)

Can't wait for the second leg, if it's as good as tonights match were in for a treat.
