Galleon Holdings will premiere the first line of toys based on the animated series Skunk Fu! (52x13) at UK Toy Fair 2008, which will be held in London January 30-February 2, 2008. Developed in-house by Galleon's Croco Sourcing Worldwide, the Skunk Fu! toy line is comprised of various styles of action figures, plush, Skunk Fu bop bag with sounds and electronic feature plush and will be supported by marketing across the UK. The animated TV series is a Cartoon Saloon, Cake Entertainment and Telegael co-production for TG4 (Ireland) and Super RTL (Germany).

Just had a quick look at Metropolitan TV and their main station appears to be '8TV',this is the Malaysian TV station Phoenix completed another interactive deal with which was announced on the 21st January 2008.

Galleon Holdings swings to FY underlying profit, sees 2008 to be 'defining year'

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Galleon Holdings PLC swung to a full-year underlying profit on a surge in revenues, and said it is optimistic that 2008 will be a 'defining year' for the company.

The intellectual property owner and developer in the entertainment sector posted an EBITDA of 169,321 stg for the year ended Sept 30, 2007, compared with a loss of 982,078 stg last year, on a 240 pct growth in revenues to about 4.5 mln stg.

The company narrowed its full-year pretax loss to 392,042 stg from 1.25 mln stg in 2006.

Galleon said the source of its revenues has been much more balanced in 2007 with its entertainment division contributing significant revenues.

Quite amazing figures although not totally unexpected.The fact that the group as a whole brought in revenue of 4.5 million for year end up to 30th September 2007 and Croco have already got orders for 4.7 million for 2008 bodes very well,imo.
Skunk Fu should start to add further to the 2008 revenue figures soon and Phoenix has already with the two Interactive deals in Malaysia with their eyes looking to China for 2008.

Of the top of my head I wouldn't be surprised if GON have further positive announcements to release tomorrow or Friday but pure conjecture on my part! I'm quite happy to hold as there is too much good news to come,in my humbly opinion.

I decided not to ramble as i'm very confident on how GON will perform over 2008 and that's in a positive way,I might add :-)


Further news over the next two days,as I said there might be,was purely on that 500k buy/sell which looked to be a buy but my thoughts were at the time that it was a sell with someone happy to take that volume at a higher price ie someone knows something................ So,that is pure conjecture on my part and so should really be ignored!

Well,that was a fun packed day :-)

Phoenix embeds its staff and technology platforms within the broadcaster and from here Phoenix provides the broadcaster with a "one stop shop" for all interactive broadcast content.

"AFTER showing positive growth in 2007, kids channel Cartoon Network (CN) revealed its plans for the Philippines in 2008 that will include the introduction of several new shows as well as a relaunch of its localized website.

Turner Entertainment Networks Asia general manager Soumitra Saha described their growth in the Philippines as phenomenal as over 80 percent of children watching cable TV are tuned in to CN, with their target market tuned in for an average of 44 minutes per day."

Fresh wind in Galleon's sales

NEWS BRIEF: UK television rights management company Galleon Entertainment has named a former Saban Entertainment sales exec as its new director of sales and licensing.

Erick Rouillwill oversee international sales and licensing activity for the company's portfolio, which includes Skunk Fu!, Apollo's Pad, Sokator-442 and Mysti.

Rouillpreviously managed IP rights and licensing contracts for animated TV series and films such as Magic Roundabout and Fox and The Child.
