Was looking to go in but looks a bit risky at these levels there will be some profit taking soon I think.

There could be a bit more in this, but when they start falling they really like to fall like mother f***ers! Be careful before buying into these ones, might be a good day traders stock

True, hlyeo. However, the crazy thing in recnet times is cheap money paying over the odds for damn near anything. Just look at any asset class there is. It'll all end in tears eventually, though. ;-))

am still holding my modest short position ..... my thought is that even if there is bid, and that is far from certain, then would not expect a significant premium ...... so will now no doubt get egg smeared all over my face!

Cynic, BFC is really worth shorting cos' it is falling 17% now. BFC just stinks...no company in the right mind would bid for this junk.

that was why i shorted in the first place, though does not necessarily mean i/we are right ...... certainly was not brave enough to short further earlier today, but there must be some very singed fingers around in both directions ..... sp currently -5 after +6

Looks like we both got it right this time.

i am afraid i shall only be "right" if sp falls right way - e.g. should t/o rumour (look to) has no foundation ...... suspect there is/was also a strong element of "bear squeeze".

LONDON (AFX) - Biofuels Corporation PLC said it has noted the recent movement in the company's share price and knows of no reason for this.

The company's shares closed up 5 pence at 48 today as bid chatter continued to surround the firm. Traders reckon a possible buyer could be Frankfurt-listed and Switzerland-based Biopetrol Industries, which has raised 75 mln eur from a convertible note.

She may well plummet at tomorrow's open. Pity those folk who've gone long if this was just a nasty bounce on a bad rumour.

I also truly feel sorry for those folks who fell for this silly rumour. It seems like we are the winners, cynic. As I said above (post 953), BFC is just a junk but no antique. Keep shorting is the message.

The company has to put out that RNS, look at the buys after the bell today that should tell you somethings going on, we shall see the outcome soon.
