early morning to all, well i think its early.

hilary - 08 Jul 2004 07:33 - 9446 of 23498

All this talk of photography. One of my internet buddies, a poster on the pay-per-view called Dailos, is a keen photographer. In fact he's been pasting some of his recent pictures over there.

This is an empty vinegar bottle ....

His favourite watering can (I've already advised him on better lighting) .....

And his hose pipe .........

hilary - 08 Jul 2004 07:35 - 9447 of 23498

Nearly forgot. These are his old shoes ........

daves dazzlers - 08 Jul 2004 07:44 - 9448 of 23498

the hose pipe catches my eye,,,,,,,,the bottle i think should be bought forward to the front ,,,right to blur the background,,,,,,,as for the shoes, a true still life if they could talk,,,,,,they would have a lot to say,a vived image.

hilary - 08 Jul 2004 08:44 - 9449 of 23498

Dave,

Constructive opinion ....... Dailos will be flattered. He's on a "shoot" in Alaska from today, but I'll be sure to pass on your comments upon his return.

:o)

daves dazzlers - 08 Jul 2004 08:58 - 9450 of 23498

Socrates - 08 Jul 2004 09:28 - 9452 of 23498

Good morning all

Hilary
Nice pictures but not too sure about the empty bottle, couldn't see anything in it myself, mind you, I thought the hose was unreel.

jj50 - 08 Jul 2004 09:39 - 9453 of 23498

....bit wound up for my liking ..

Morning all. Can I pull up a chair beside you Socs? Strong coffee and slice of toast would be just the treat.

hilary - 08 Jul 2004 09:39 - 9454 of 23498

Glad you've noted that, Winks. As well as being a top notch photographer, the guy knows a little bit about the markets as well.

:o)

Morning Old Socs. Are you and Xanthippe art critics too?

Fundamentalist - 08 Jul 2004 09:43 - 9455 of 23498

Morning all

FEB and black coffee please

Socrates - 08 Jul 2004 10:12 - 9456 of 23498

Hilary
Not me, quite a philistine where art is concerned, now Xanthippe is another story. Regular visits to the London galleries for exhibitions etc. I just know what I like and modern art doesn't fit in there at all.

Oh oh, looks like the percolator needs filling up, more strong coffee ready in a minute. More toast anyone?

stockbunny - 08 Jul 2004 11:43 - 9457 of 23498

Toast would be good but not the stuff left over from 10.12 this morning
please! And some of that marmarlade Socco, it looks good!!

Socrates - 08 Jul 2004 11:46 - 9458 of 23498

stockbunny
Come now, would I try to pass off old toast on to you? Not a chance, the gannets have had it anyway.

stockbunny - 08 Jul 2004 11:52 - 9459 of 23498

Sorry Socs....How are you?
Has the rain/wind put pay to the jobs you were going to do this week?

Socrates - 08 Jul 2004 11:58 - 9460 of 23498

stockbunny
Jobs all out of the way. Today is a stay-in day due to the weather forecast, though it's not as bad as was predicted, so far at any rate. Shame really because we were anticipating a trip to Hay on Wye, book capital of the World. Tomorrow will do though.

stockbunny - 08 Jul 2004 12:01 - 9461 of 23498

Oh..hope the weather is indeed better for you then tomorrow! It didn't
get as bad as they predicted down here either, but that said it was still
pretty unpleasant!
