I am a newcomer to EVS and I notice that the share has a return on equity (whatever that is) of minus 400%. Last week it was minus 66%. I was thinking of buying in but these figures are worrying and they seem to be getting worse by leaps and bounds.

I hear that there is some news coming and it is supposed to be good.

So where did you obtain this figure of minus 400%?
The company have already stated their intention to pay a dividend next year.

I got it from the Financial bit of the ADV FN board. They seem to be in a mess.

I have just checkd and ADV FN have changed it to minus 49%. Last week it was minus 66% then it was minus 400% and now it is minus 49%. One would hope that a reputable board would get it right some of the time.

Although we don't post on that BB anymore we think it does an admirable job - especially with the amount of traffic that passes through its system.
We are thinking of returning to ADVFN as they seemed to have cleaned several threads up recently.

RED -
"Have you been on sharetalk and if so how do you get referred?"
We don't know the answer to that - but perhaps a,q or p could give you the nod somewhere.
Hopefully next week could see some action re EVS.

Hope that I am not speaking too soon, but in the last couple of days on the advfn.com EVS thread "Serious Investors Only" it has been like a breath of fresh air with hardly any Haystacks posts. The only one I believe is 1499 Mufffffmits.
If advfn.com has cleaned up their EVS board then posters like Advansuk and Peteark may return. Maybe advfn.com have threatened legal action against Mr H.
Next week we have the trading statement which I believe will be good, and we will see a rush of buyers re-rating the share price. Maybe next week will be a new beginning for both the EVS share price and the advfn.com board.

Mufffffmits is not me, but another one is. I have been using a much older username. I have had no contact with ADVFN for weeks. I just get their advertising Emails. You are starting to believe Lord Butterstock's fantasies.
If the trading statement is very good the price will probably spike up briefly as short term traders pile in. I would expect that to last a short while and then the price to fall quite sharply. If the trading statement is not very good then I expect the price to drop quite a bit very quickly abd stay down for some time.

The question is - has there been any leaks - does anyone really know anything that is to be announced in the following week. Kevin Jauncey appears to have been extremely confident on how things were going, so we will find out this week what has changed - if anything at all.
It will be true if the trading statement - as with IDN - is luke warm - the shares will come under pressure - the nms to sell will be cut - and the price will not recover until Jan / March 2006. It however would certainly be a fall back on news released 3 months ago.
One just have to wait.

It is amusng to see guru11 accusing someone over on ADVFN of being me because he is posting negative comments about EVS. It looks like you have a new poster who is not enamoured of this stock.
