How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?
Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

scrip i notice theres a training course on the 24th. is there likely to be any others in the near future? if so are they always in London or Manchester? or do you ever hold them in Birmingham. I wont be able to make it to this one as my wife is due to give birth at anytime.
Also in order to become a better trader do you need to be proficient in stats? as this is not my strongest point. any advice would be appreciated by anyone on this issue. Thanks in advance

Evo
stats can help in some of the longer term almost position like trading, but they are not critical at all, and irrelevant to a lot of the trading techniques which are far more like share based charting techniques
congrats re the kiddy and good luck for the birth
PS anyone tradeing the footie tonite?

"Scrip'll be happy"
Hmmm....
Got lucky on the City vs West Ham match, been testing some software and was in the market on the right side when West Ham scored. Laid West Ham at 1.01 and was matched when City scored so very happy. Just luck though!

Dil....LOL at "Bak taught me everything :-)"
That was just an intro lesson from my "101 ways to live dangerously on betfair"
In fact, if you'd adopted my "kitchen sink strategy" on West Ham last night you'd have been s in. OK, you'd have had to crap it for 5mins but it'd only be mere milliseconds compared to what I had to endure during that final session of Eng/Ind 1st test 2wks ago.
