CMS Webview What is the potential for this share ? (CWV)

GEOFFREY.R - 01 Nov 2003 16:46

I bought shares in this company at 4.5p in September 2003. I see they are rising. Can anyone tell me please the growth potential for this company as they have just been awarded several new contracts ?

Nice to see us all back in a more measured frame of mind after the reverse, yesterday saw an early gain which was lost by days end, this morning is up again, will it keep going? Is this the bottom? Will it go backwards later?

I will read opinions and make my own decisions, I kicked myself this week after patting myself on the back the week before. Now I am being patient and see how things develop.

Does anyone know how long the organisation of the fund raising might take? Are we talking weeks or months?

I don't have answers and only wish to the discussions balanced and fair so we can all understand what might lie ahead....

Hi SueHelen,

I am delighted to see you back posting.

I do not hold shares but it is a fascinating company because the price swings
with no Institutional interest e.g.

Volume is only 51,384 -- V for institutional interest starts at around 3.5 M
However, the price is 12.25/+ 2/+19.51 per cent. Therefore, the good news is that
the Institutions are very happy. However,I suggest you keep glued to the screen
when V = 3.5 + rgds aj

ajren - 05 Dec 2003 10:09 - 953 of 1924

It has gone down since.I do not think anyone needs to be worried if there are
swings up to 2.50 and volume is less than 3.5 M.rgds aj

Remember Jean the cleaner from yesterday, stepping in for the absent market makers whilst they recovered from their Xmas bash the night before? Well, very pleased to say that she wasn't fired, even though she thought that "bottom" was something you sit on! The MMs did find it funny that Jean totally confused the experts of this share and their predictions yesterday. Apparently they are considering giving her a part time job to fill in for Friday afternoons (they all chug of to Verbier for a spot of weekend skiing). They are even considering hiring a student if Jean doesn't want the job.

A bit of bad news though, Jean managed to break the quote machine yesterday and it has been playing up with lots of random price spikes. An engineer has been called but as times have been tough this year the MMs haven't kept up with their support contract. They reckoned 200 per month was better spent on a decent bottle of champers.

17 trading days left in 2003, enjoy them, they will be fun.

CMS Webview and Cinnober enter OTC trading technology pact

05 December 2003 - UK trading technology firm CMS Webview has entered an agreement with Cinnober Financial Technology to manage hosting and administration of CScreen, an over-the-counter trading platform for inter-dealer brokers.

To date, CScreen has gained a following in the OTC equity derivatives market where it is used by around 20 brokers and over 80 client banks for the electronic negotiation and execution of complex financial instruments. The agreement with CMS Webview forms part of a plan to extend the technology to other financial market sectors.

Under the initial terms of the agreement, hosting and administration will be managed by CMS while sales and marketing activity will continue to be handled by the existing CScreen team. At the next stage of development, say the companies in a statement, Cinnober and CMS will "share responsibility for the strategic growth of CScreen in its current marketplace as well as in new areas of business".

Peter Fredriksson, CEO of CScreen, comments: "This agreement will enable us to exploit fully the opportunities to develop the market for CScreen technology."

Sue, this is value added research, thank you for sharing.

We can now think through the impact and debate. What is particularly nice to see is that CWV chose not to make a song and dance about it in the press - good for them.

12-13.5 now 24% up again, though low volumes
