Indie - cheers.

On the earn-out in the event of Tad/ETI being taken over by Softbank:-

A figure of $150M does not mean that this is a realistic expectation of revenues to Tad for the current contract or future ones in Japan. A takeover by Softbank would be just that. It would be based on Softbank's appraisal of Tad's on-going potential worldwide in Softbank's hands.

Much has been made of Softbank's connections in other territories and their aggressive stance. If Tad were taken over, those markets as well as all others would be available to Softbank to sell into. The monetary value of that to Softbank should be orders of magnitude greater than expected payments under the current ST/Softbank deal.

The obverse consideration is that the $150m would be only the earn-out to ST shareholders and not the value of the overall deal.

Discussion of pros and cons is conspicuous by its absence here. Does no one have a considered view they are willing to air?

pachandl - 30 Sep 2004 14:34 - 951 of 2262

Indie - I don't think anyone wants to volunteer a view whilst the share price is so close to the precipice. My only concern relates to the "merger" deal and the possibility that increased Softbank/Stream revenues might unduly dilute Tad's contribution to the "joint market cap".

The Other Kevin - 30 Sep 2004 14:36 - 952 of 2262

Seems to be falling over the precipice this afternoon.

mackem - 30 Sep 2004 20:38 - 953 of 2262

Moneylender and yuff have sold up.

There absense on the thread speaks volumes.

Indieman - 30 Sep 2004 22:52 - 954 of 2262

not tad related but.....

the word "precipice" reminded me of a statement by george bush.....but it will have to be paraphrased as i cant remember the exact words.

america was standing on the brink of a precipice, then we took a giant step forwards.

Superrod,

I've always believed that George Bush based his beliefs on cartoon characters.

Have you ever seen anyone whose body language so clearly says 'Me? I'm president? Get me outa here!'

Isn't it amazing how people like to misinform about us selling?
I hold exactly the same amount of shares I had last friday and the friday before that and I hold more shares than I did 1 month ago.

Moneylender - 01 Oct 2004 18:22 - 963 of 2262

Hi Yuff

Well just for the record, i hold a few more than i did last Friday and certainly more than a month ago.
I think its about time we had a "who's going to the EGM" thread.

Looks like another UK re-seller.

"AppExpress
For rich, high performance, graphical applications such as AutoCad and Adobe PhotoShop that are not suited to a Citrix solution we propose AppExpress which is an application streaming solution

Well we have 6 Working days to the EGM. Will TT's 5p be achieved, I dont think so. In fact it is my opinion that the complete opposite will prevail.
It is quite obvious to me that ETI are now making a serious contribution to revenue. This year alone we have had six or seven revenue enhancing deals from them. More to come no doubt, Adobe looks to be a trial maybe they will give us the green light.

Once the EGM has passed we will have the proven sales experience of Stream Theory. Softbank and Japan are in the bag, whats next? Korea, China, Europe or all three? We are moving forward and are moving at a rate of knots.

TT, take the blinkers off before its too late.
