VANE MINERALS, A Cheaper And Lower Risk Route Into The Uranium Market. (VML)

goldfinger - 08 Mar 2005 09:20

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE..

COMPANY WEB SITE.........

http://www.vaneminerals.com/

THE PRICE OF URANIUM IS GOING BALISTIC...

The uranium spot price hasn't seen a down month since 2001. For years now, uranium producers have met just 60% of total annual demand - the other 40% coming from government stockpiles and decommissioned nuclear warheads. This can go on for only so long.

The tightness of supply comes at a time of atomic resurgence. Three large-scale factors have turned the tide in favour of nuclear energy:
geopolitics, global warming and developing world growth.

Analysts are debating over wether the SP of Uranium increase will be three fold within 2007?.

Looks like to me, the best play on the UK market for Uranium and it hasnt gotten away yet like the other two ZBA Zareba and URA Uranium which have multi bagged. Its also in a position to fund its development with a new gold mine producing. Ive added twice this morning and think this one could be very big. Heres the announcement...........

VANE Minerals plc (AIM: VML)

VANE Announces Diversification Into Uranium Exploration And Development

Vane Minerals ('VANE' or 'the Company') announces that it is diversifying its
current project portfolio by entering into the uranium exploration and
development business.

To date 7 uranium targets have been successfully claimed by the Company and 28
further properties have been identified and are under development. VANE expects
to finalise its property position by the end of the first quarter 2005. The
Company is targeting uranium projects that are either at, or near, resource
stage or targets that exhibit similar surface features to mines with past
production, but that have not yet been evaluated for the presence of uranium.

The 35 properties identified are located within a uranium district with
significant past production as well as significant resources. Due to the
current uranium market conditions, we prefer to not identify the location until
we complete our property position. Previous drilling data available for some of
the 7 properties successfully claimed indicate grade intersects from 0.34 up to
1.78% U3O8.

VANE has incorporated a 100% owned subsidiary to hold its uranium properties and
has also successfully recruited a uranium geologist, Kristopher K. Hefton B.Sc.,
who has considerable experience in this field and is a great addition to the
VANE team. Mr. Hefton has worked with VANE's exploration team in the past during
his time at Freeport McMoran, and he has also worked for Barrick Gold
Corporation, Homestake Mining Company and Energy Fuels Nuclear Inc.

Michael Spriggs, Chairman of VANE, commented, 'We are delighted to announce the
addition of these uranium assets to the VANE portfolio and will update the
market with more substantial details once further properties have been claimed.
The uranium market has been strong for some time now, reflecting a long-term
forecast supply shortage and the growing recognition that nuclear energy offers
a cleaner and more energy efficient fuel source. Through our extensive network,
we have identified some quality projects and look forward to releasing further
details when appropriate.'

Blimey look at the volume. Is it rising in sympathy with that other uranium stock zareba or something like that?.

cheers GF.

From another board -

"Made the usual call and its seems more than possible that there might be a realease of news on the nexr round of drilling results on Monday from 'Mina' and the indication is that they will be on the good side.

Hope that helps.

Naturally some others out there have caught the 'possible' news on the gossip network earlier today.

Monday will be an interesting day."

Unfortunately (today anyway) I'm not holding, just an interested spectator btw.

Good luck.

Not to fussed about next week, company is still on target with all projects it just a matter of being patient.

Hope you don't have a headache...

Glad to see this moving again! Miners are the hardest stocks to hold as they swing severely the best idea is just to sit tight as the news flow has all been positive and everything is ticking over nicely. Hopefully we'll hold on to the gains, or at least some of them fingers crossed.....

Mina Charay Drilling Update

VANE Minerals Plc is pleased to announce the completion of nine holes in a third
round of diamond drilling at their Mina Charay Project located near Los Mochis
in the state of Sinaloa, Mexico.

A total of 27 holes varying in depth from 24 to 103 metres and averaging 58
metres have now been completed at Mina Charay. Inclined holes intersected the
nearly vertical vein system in 19 of the 27 holes completed to provide 32
mineralized intercepts. Drilling has now tested the system over a strike length
of some 240 metres. The mineralized intercepts averaged 1.7 metres in length and
contained an average of 13 g/t gold and 93 g/t silver. The veins are believed to
have an average true width of 1.2 metres. The deepest intercepts of the vein
system are approximately 50 metres below surface; the system remains open at
depth.

The initial assay results are tabulated below, routine check assaying is now in
progress. After confirmation of analytical results, the data will be provided to
Independent Mining Consultants (IMC) of Tucson to develop a resource estimate
and preliminary mine plan.

Chairman Michael Spriggs commented 'These results are very encouraging and we
are pleased with the whole project so far. As you can see from the grades
achieved, Mina Charay offers good potential to develop a profitable mine, which
should strengthen VANE's cash flow position and enable the company to expand
rapidly.'

Madison - 18 Jul 2005 11:13 - 963 of 2220

I would prefer belisce's analysis to my own - but in his absence my provisional take is as follows:

Five of the gold intercepts come up better than the previous max. for gold (36.82g/t) given back round 18 March. (62.87, 78.71, 109.04, 45.32, 74.25)

None of the silver figures come up to the previous high (706.2g/t), the closest being 524.5.

Market reaction predictable, with the same old short term traders taking it round in circles.

Company seems on course to do exactly what it has said it would do and generate a further source of good cash flow in addition to Diablito. Good news for long term holders but short termers' fun is over till the next RNS.

Just my humble opinion.

Cheers, Madison

big jump on friday as well. probably at the right level now

tallsiii - 18 Jul 2005 20:42 - 965 of 2220

Good news does seem to consistently lead to a falling SP on this one!

belisce6 - 19 Jul 2005 18:18 - 966 of 2220

Hi Madison.....thanks for the vote of confidence.....you now have me wanting to get stuck in with some major in-depth analyses.....

however, i am so busy trying to research as much else (other stocks) as possible, that i will wait for their resource estimate on Mina Charay........(have already missed out on Accuma and Biofuels - they were both sitting there staring at me, when they hit their recent lows - and i simply stared back, instead of buying.....ARRRGGGGHHH !!!)

the strike length, gold grade, and widths(??) at Mina Charay, seem to be similar to Diablito i think; although Diablito is slightly bigger at this stage (Mina - 240m strike length and 13 g/t Au grade with true ave. vein widths of about 1.2m versus Diablito - 300m? strike length and 12ishg/t Au grade with vein widths of between 1 to 3m); The Mina silver results seem much lower than Diablito - haven't really looked into the silver results though....

These gold results are quite good.........I mean; all of the last 9 holes drilled have intersected some medium to high-grade gold in a narrow vein system........so now it is simply all about how easy it will be to mine the crap out of it, and how much cash can be made......

i think that most of us are still waiting to read on the progress of Diablito, and perhaps the absence of any news in this regard, has caused a few punters to get out.......but i shall remain patient......

on the upside; If they can get both vein systems into production, and generating cash; there is always the potential that both of them will end up producing more than is budgeted......because with both systems they have mentioned that they are open in one direction.....but this is speculative and only something that could occur in the next year or two, when they decide to drill further along strike or depth.....

Madison - 19 Jul 2005 21:27 - 967 of 2220

Hi belisce, thanks for that.

Yes, an update from Diablito would be good. Shouldn't be too long coming now. Just wish the hot money would find a home where its effect is less marked. On the other hand, you can see the attractions!

Cheers, Madison
