How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?
Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

Not looking so clever now. Gibbs a serious loss. Covered for now - so red on the draw and will wait 'til tomorrow before reappraising.

Afternoon Edward
Sorry to see that you're out of the money at the moment with that 1st ball wicket. Now 2 wickets gone as I write.
Not really following this match but watched some this am. Even though Aus scored well the bounce has been inconsistent all morning and could get worse over the next couple of days. Probably, why Aus odds were quite low before SA batted. Only chance of a draw could be the weather which you can check on this

I'm not the resident cricket expert so above just my own opinion

Thanks Bak, though I can't get weather.com to function at the moment. It must be down.
I had been thinking adverse weather was a small probability and that with Aus having used up over 1 2/3 days in their modest first innings that time would be the major factor.
With hindsight, having to face Lee and Kaspowitz must have put fear into the S Africans and I didn't allow for that

When I last checked it was Sun-Sunny, Mon-Partly Cloudy and Tues-Showers am.
Also Warne was turning the ball a bit too.

Is Greul any good?
O/T Edward, looking forward to DNX results in the morning - price movement and auction seemed positive on a down day today

Right ive done my research. Greul is ranked 150 compared to 39 for Henman, the two have never played against each other

Got a very big shirt on DNX but it's a very durable one :-)
Don't know anything about Greul but will watch if I get a chance. Easter holidays have started here.
Also long the draw on SA-Aus 2nd Test. Weather or just plain grit will probably save the day for the SA's IMO

Edward
likewise DNX, Greul looks nothing to write home about, not convinced the saffers can bat out the draw but think the weather will decide the game

Henman loses 7-5 in the third and all the 1.03 backers have done their dough
