Hi all.
This is from the Guardian. I don't agree that it was an embarrassment for the broker, after all, they don't have crystal balls!!
Among the small caps, Granby Oil & Gas was the main talking point. Shares in the "new generation" North Sea explorer slumped 48.5p to 81p as the City reacted to Wednesday's late news that its first well contained nothing but water. The news will be something of an embarrassment for broker KBC Peel Hunt which brought Granby to Aim just over two weeks ago at 84p.

That was a good find Oracles, thanks for that. Like you say, it puts it in perspective. IMHO I think the sp will recover very soon to 100p, even more so when we get nearer the update on Galoc development. Nothing has changed, still a good company.

Hi wilbs,
Something that might be of interest I have just got off the phone from someone at Granby today to see what we can expect in the short term. Basically nothing new was mentioned because this might be price sensitive but was mentioned was they are in the final stage of finalising the Galoc offshore oil development in the Philippines, and that these are already known to contain oil and that this may be the next item of positive news to released.
