Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Proselenes - 22 Sep 2018 06:52 - 9508 of 12628

But it has NOT CHANGED

The change is talked and pushed by Remain, but actually, it was fact checked and there are 4 polls on the subject. Two polls show some LEAVE have gone REMAIN. Two polls show some REMAIN are now LEAVE.

The conclusions is...........there is no change therefore in opinion levels.

Death due to slow poisoning isn't much better a bullet in the head.

Democracy.

Is it undemocratic to ignore the view of the public as a whole when it has obviously changed?

Proselenes - 22 Sep 2018 08:38 - 9509 of 12628

Just seen this video on Twitter.

Three of the most prominent REMOANERS all saying back then there is no way there can be a second vote (when they thought remain would win) and now all calling for a second vote.

Hypocrisy at its very finest..........thats REMOAN.

Getting very interesting now.

If Labour adopt 2nd referendum stance then it becomes very easy for the Tories.

Ditch May, put Davies in as leader and make a Canada style FTA the exit option.

Labour would get slaughtered then in a snap election. Perhaps this is the plan.

Laughable.

Like her party she is in Cloud Cuckoo land.

Fred's hoping for a second referendum so he can abstain again.

186 days to go.

Labour making it easy for the Cons to shovel the blame on them for a no deal Brexit.

Happy days.

May will get a deal but not one anyone will swallow - so two choices: go before she is pushed or call an Election before they get a chance to push her under a bus, so to speak.

as i wrote previously, i think TM could well prove an excellent choice ..... certainly better that MG who has no appeal to any other than perhaps his wife

A budget before a general election?

Dil - 26 Sep 2018 17:38 - 9521 of 12628

What's Labours policy Fred ... oh yeah , they still haven't got one.

Some rumblings about any deal having to pass 6 sets of criteria that wouldn't be accepted by the EU anyway.

Dil - 26 Sep 2018 17:46 - 9522 of 12628

Why would the Tories want a general election ?

Better to just ditch May and get a real Brexiteer to lay down to the EU what is acceptable.

Some of the EU are gonna be in shit street if they don't get a deal and Ireland's economy will go down the pan.

More bail outs from the Germans and French on top of having to fund the big black hole left by us.

Clocktower - 26 Sep 2018 17:56 - 9523 of 12628

Dil, The remainers want to keep May in the post for a while, so by calling an election and winning, they keep her, and Boris, Mog etc out. If the lose an election then they blame her again, and replace her but they then will remain in the EC one way or another, and the country will go down the drain.

Fred1new - 26 Sep 2018 18:09 - 9524 of 12628

Hooray.

And 5 years down the road.

Dil - 26 Sep 2018 18:15 - 9525 of 12628

I'm not sure she would get 100 of her own Party to back a vote for a general election with her in charge any time soon.

ExecLine - 26 Sep 2018 23:48 - 9526 of 12628

IMHO, if she were stupid enough to call a General Election, then the people would react against it, chuck her out for being so bloody stupid and indirectly put Labour in.

Clocktower - 28 Sep 2018 09:26 - 9527 of 12628

EL - Labour only dream of getting in with JC at the helm, they have as much chance of winning as Fred has finding friends. :-)
