40p each way!! You certainly have value for money Opto, I use buses
routinely (no car) and I have to pay 1 per trip regardless, even if it
is for only one stop!

Nice to see you two gentlemen sporting blue shirts to start things off
this afternoon - I have of course been in a bath of blue dye all lunchtime
to help things along.I am also firmly sitting on my hands until LLOY goes
up as I must not add any more or buy (on impulse!) anything else until I
sell something. So I'll 'woman' the kitchen GD this afternoon to keep me out of trouble and temptation!

optomistic - 09 Jul 2004 14:14 - 9534 of 23498

The kitchen is looking brighter already. Bunny when you reach the ripe old age of 60 here in Yorks you can travel as far as you want in the designated area for 40p. I think some folks just go for a circular tour occasionally, you can do that as long as you dont get off. Have you no concessions in your area for people a little older than you?

stockbunny - 09 Jul 2004 14:31 - 9535 of 23498

Ah yes, of course (forgot!) we have concessions for the 'wise and seasoned'
-it's one of the brighter spots to being within 'King Ken's
Kingdom' that once in possession of a bus-pass you can travel free
anywhere in the greater London area. However, until you are mature enough
for one it's 1 a go - unless you're under 16 (I'm small, I try, I really do, but the drivers just wont believe me!) OR you have to mess about getting travel
cards to get cheaper travel and it's simply not worth it unless you travel
daily.

Mind you, I bet your scenary en-route is nicer then mine?

optomistic - 09 Jul 2004 14:44 - 9536 of 23498

Ah there you are then we are paying too much @ 40p. Yes Bunny every direction out of Barnsley is quite green, have to have some compensation for living here in the first place. I live just on the outskirts so I have access to nice walking areas.
As you have charge today could I have a large pot of tea made with one of GD's special T bags, sure he wont mind.

little woman - 09 Jul 2004 17:05 - 9547 of 23498

Well I'm all done now - left a message for amberjane which I hope she'll get
this time! I think I have managed to get her a free ticket for sundays Grand
Prix. She told me she was going to break my legs the next time she saw me as I
didn't ring her back about the free tickets I had for Goodwood, and she
didn't have my contact number!

In case she pops in tonight, could someone remind her to ring me?

Socrates - 09 Jul 2004 17:29 - 9548 of 23498

Good evening all, just back from a trip to the book capital of the UK, Hay on Wye. It was raining, well you'd expect that seeing that the road signs have Welsh words all over them. if you like books, they have volumes of them.

Stockbunny
Nice comment about the uniform, I thought it was the suspenders that did it!

jeffmack - 09 Jul 2004 18:01 - 9549 of 23498
