new millennium resources (NML)

LEEWINK - 28 Mar 2004 15:45

NML is due its interrim results now, last year it was the 28th of this month.

They are setting up a new site to explore/research/analyse and all the equipment to do this should be on site now, and drilling should start soon, all this extra news should be covered in the interims.

does anyone have any further positive views on this company ??

stockdog,

MM's balance their books, so if there is buying demand, they will raise the BID for sure, but if their is selling, they will lower it until it dries up, which, until today, was 3.5p.

I'm not sure it's placees selling, but they bought in at 3p and 3.7p, and once thie BID was lowered to 3.5p, the sells stopped.

It may be coincedence of course, or that they are waiting until the BID is raised, we will have to wait and see.

If good news is reeased, buying demand will return, and the bid will rise, but not until.

Today's action suggests there is selling rather than buying demand, IMHO.

I'm not sure we will hear any news this month, mining commenced late, so that may delay any announcement into July.

Andy..I did read it..how can you possibly TELL that it is placees?
Regards shorting ..the market cap is too low
We'll see what happens before too long, no doubt.

Andy - 21 Jun 2005 22:28 - 961 of 1909

takahe,

Regards shorting, agreed.

It's POSSIBLY the placees selling because as soon as the BID fell below 3.7p, the selling stopped.

It could also be coincedence, I am only speculating, and I am probably wrong.

Tomorrow could be intersting.

takahe - 21 Jun 2005 22:37 - 962 of 1909

Andy..goodness knows..I am sick of it, to be honest.

Andy - 21 Jun 2005 23:44 - 963 of 1909

takahe,

That I can understand.

I genuinely hope NML comes good.

I think yesterdays T Trade was a sell and has been in the system for a while hence the low bid of 3.5p and the mms willingness to sell these on at sub 4p.
Now we are staring at 3p bid and good news will not take us very far if the seller is prepared to sell for 3.5p.Remember these sells are endless and the seller will sell into eternity.
A little strange though that the mms pay 3.75 and 3.5 for size and then are prepared to sell them to the punters for less, maybe theyve resided to the fact this is a dead loss and theyre cutting their losses too.

mjr1234 - 22 Jun 2005 09:39 - 965 of 1909

MMs make losses? No chance!

Andy - 22 Jun 2005 10:17 - 966 of 1909

mjr1234,

The rush for the exit continues, big 25 share sale just gone through!

broker200 selling up his total holding perhaps?

mjr1234 - 22 Jun 2005 10:19 - 967 of 1909

Some heavy buying today as well - someone bought a massive 363 shares!

Seriously though, looks like it could be MMs tidying up their books for some reason. Hopefully before a massive rise?!

mjr1234 - 22 Jun 2005 10:20 - 968 of 1909

Andy,

How come you seem so bullish on EPD and more bearish on NML?

If you ignore the paranoid conspiracy theories peddled by Anom et al, then the two companies look similar in terms of risk/reward, with the bonus that NML is starting from a much lower base with around 1/4 the market cap?

Andy - 22 Jun 2005 10:22 - 969 of 1909

mjr1234,

Yes I just saw that one too!

It does make you wonder why people are trading such odd amounts, that are under the value of the cost of the trade. This occurs on all stocks from time to time.

FDI are doing well today, maybe it'll rub off on the other diamond juniors.

Andy - 22 Jun 2005 10:36 - 970 of 1909

mjr1234,

Ok my position is that I think the premier diamond junior is Firestone, which I feel is an excellent prospect over the longer term, no multi baggers by Xmas, just a steadily growing diamond junior producer and explorer.

I think EPD will also do well, although they seem to have been struck by the late RNS syndrome too!

lesotho looks good, (and I believe grades will be better than expected),and 'IF' EPD make a commercially economic discovery in finland, then there will be significant upside to the current price IMHO.

NML on the otherhand are significantly behind schedule, with the appalling weather just three or four months away, and I wonder whether they have the necessary in depth experience to bring the project through to fruition.

I think the next RNS will be crucial, and 'IF' it's positive, with decent grades and valuations, I may change my stance, but not before.

aldwickk - 22 Jun 2005 11:52 - 971 of 1909

The main difference between NML & EPD is the management and the location.

stockdog - 22 Jun 2005 12:10 - 972 of 1909

whoops, wrong button

GayBriefs - 22 Jun 2005 14:34 - 973 of 1909

"significantly behind schedule"

LOL !
Will soon be able to buy a shed load at 3.25p and below ,this is going down big time is sub 1p possible?

mjr1234 - 22 Jun 2005 15:56 - 974 of 1909

Don't think so GayBriefs,

Can only buy 7.5k on Comdirect, can sell over 1M@3.25p!

Looks like a "mystery buyer" may be around?

Andy - 22 Jun 2005 16:35 - 975 of 1909

mjr1234,

I have just checked, and they are showing a maximum of 75,000 at 3p bid!

Andy - 22 Jun 2005 16:42 - 976 of 1909

mjtr1234,

you are right about the buy limit, which is only 28,000, interesting!

mjr1234 - 22 Jun 2005 16:54 - 977 of 1909

LOL, I meant 3.25p - edited the post.

Andy - 22 Jun 2005 17:25 - 978 of 1909

ok :-)

The buy limit of 28,000 certainly is interesting, RNS coming perhaps?
