Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Twotanks,

Are you using the 'remember my username/password' box, or are you using IEs own remember password options?

Here's some thoughts on the trade list on the L2 screen.

1. The screen layout seems to waste a bit of space on the right hand side. If you squeezed the Trades table slightly you could extend it right down to the bottom of the screen and have a long list of recent trades instead of just the last 5.In other words just scroll the older trades down, I wouldn't mind if you couldn't load the whole list at connect and reconnect time.

2. Can we have the time on each trade instead of just the first?

3. Can we have the trade type on each trade?

These fixes would save me from having a trades page open as well as L2 for a stock.

Kajman - some feedback for you.

There is a new product in in the pipeline on MoneyAM that will resolve a number of the issues you have raised.

Unfortunately, I can't say any more at the moment, but keep an eye out on the site.

I'm increasingly getting web page unavailable messages when switching to moneyam or navigating within the site. They're usually resolved by a refresh, but I guess you guys ought to know that either bandwidth or server capacity is becoming a problem.

Ian

... and, being a tecchie, he'll naturally dismiss it as 'the problem must be at his end'

;0)

IanT(MoneyAM) - 30 May 2003 08:42 - 970 of 7315

exactly what he said gausie :)

BrianTrayda - 30 May 2003 08:46 - 971 of 7315

Gausie, I was getting the same yesterday. About 4 times. Thought it was me. :-)

Must be your end, your ISP, Colt, batteries, Friday:-)

Mike

PS we are taking a look .

TullettJ (MoneyAM) - 30 May 2003 08:51 - 973 of 7315

Gausie/BrianTrayda,

Can you please turn off 'friendly http' error messages in your IE, and next time it happens give me the exact error (connection refused/timed out etc etc), this will help me narrow it down.

thanks,

J.

BrianTrayda - 30 May 2003 08:52 - 974 of 7315

Shall do.

Gausie - 30 May 2003 09:29 - 975 of 7315

Will do, however I'm off on hols later and it may not happen again before I go - I'm sure Brian will feed back.

Been away for a couple of days - yes I am clicking on remember username/password box, but it still gets washed away. This doesn't happen with any other websites.

Kayak - 01 Jun 2003 10:32 - 977 of 7315

Twotanks, MoneyAM passwords are stored as a cookie since the automatic Windows username/password saving won't work on secure logins (https://). The vast majority of this sort of site use normal logins (http://), apart from MoneyAM it is only financial sites like banks/stockbrokers that use secure logins.

Thanks

For those of us without fancy mobile devices the combination of WAP prices and alerts is almost sufficient to keep up to date with selected prices.

What is needed to make it really work is the ability to insert/edit/reset alerts via the WAP interface.
