Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

183 days left now for our much needed “informed “ referendum.

much more interesting is whether or not the whole thing will be derailed by one faction or another

imho, tm has actually done a very good job under almost impossible conditions and strain
by and large, she has made a decision and stuck with it

for sure fred will rubbish this, and tell us what a splendid chap jc is, and that his prevarication across the whole issue, and still trying to back all horses at the same is absooutely the correct approach

Taxi!

Taxi!.

Party at No 10 at conservative party standards.

Loyalty or self-serving incompetents planning for their own futures.

Stan , you have the same Math teacher as Abbott ?

165 days to go.

At last

Just testing to see how long someone on here noticed it...you win 1st prize. 😂

Fred1new - 15 Oct 2018 11:28 - 9653 of 12628

Is that for the idiot of the month?

Theresa is doing well in Brussels.

I glad she has the DUP supporting her to unite the UK.

I can see why some exiters like Rees-Mogg are already fleeing the ship.

Prominent Brexiteer Jacob Rees-Mogg has defended the move by a City firm that he helped to found to establish an investment fund in Ireland ahead of the UK leaving the European Union.

Is that really showing his faith is a littler "england".

Stan - 15 Oct 2018 18:05 - 9656 of 12628

What a shower this Government are...they will have to buck up before I vote for them again 😂

ExecLine - 15 Oct 2018 18:51 - 9657 of 12628

I'm actually warming a bit towards TM. Her negotiation task is phenomenally difficult.

After watching her in the H of C this afternoon, I actually do now think she does seem to be doing a reasonable job on things. I cannot see who would do better.

God knows how you get a most probably unnecessary, unneeded and unwanted backstop written up into an agreement, that will satisfy the EU, the Brexiteers and TM and her team too.

Dil - 15 Oct 2018 19:04 - 9658 of 12628

Should just tell the EU to like it or lump it re N Ireland.

We won't be putting a hard border up so up to them what they want to do and that goes for deal or no deal.

Over to you Barny boy.

Fred1new - 15 Oct 2018 22:12 - 9659 of 12628

Pulling up the drawbridge would suit some.

Fortress "Great" Britain will suit others.

Mainly the continent.

Fascinating, with lorries from the ports backing up to London and Midlands.

Cerise Noire Girl - 16 Oct 2018 07:24 - 9660 of 12628

You tell 'em, Dilbert.

:o)

Dil - 16 Oct 2018 10:30 - 9661 of 12628

Lol Hils.

So tell me how the EU will cope with the N Ireland border problem if we walk away with no deal.

UK stance is clear , not putting any hard borders in place and any questions ring Brussels.

EU will have a much bigger problem with the border if there is no deal than if they accept our current proposals whatever they are.

Brussels playing silly buggers again imo. Should just walk away now , keep our money and tell them to join the queue if they want a deal with us.

Dil - 16 Oct 2018 10:36 - 9662 of 12628

Fred , if there are going to be tail backs here then they'll be twice as bad on the other side of the channel given we probably import twice the amount of goods from the EU than we export.

Their tail backs will be from Calais to Frankfurt going on your calculations.

Fred1new - 16 Oct 2018 10:58 - 9663 of 12628

Divide the Imports/exports by 27 and then compare to UK.

Dil - 16 Oct 2018 11:09 - 9664 of 12628

Fred , what are you rambling on about now as I fail to see your point. The EU export more to us in goods and it comes in through the same places ours go out from so the problem will be bigger on the other side of the channel.

Dil - 16 Oct 2018 11:10 - 9665 of 12628

Paris will be grid locked going on your theory Fred.
