Maybe this years winner will be the one who loses the least money. Market turmoil.

Don't forget you have until 12.00 (noon) today if you want to make any purchases tonight to start the competition!

Any transactions after then will not go though until tomorrow night

Group hug! Good skill everyone.

jonuk76 - 16 Aug 2011 14:34 - 106 of 139

I went in earlier today (about at about 10-ish) and all the funds I'd selected previously had been removed from my portfolio. I added them back but wondering if that has that happened to anyone else?

The Other Kevin - 16 Aug 2011 15:14 - 107 of 139

As of 3.15pm mine are OK and are "being processed."

jonuk76 - 17 Aug 2011 11:35 - 108 of 139

Not looking too good :( How can I lose 9.22% in one day, when the fund in question (L&G UK Alpha) only dropped by 0.39% yesterday?? Do you pay the full bid/offer spread (which no-one does in real life). That's going to severely restrict it if you can lose that much on the bid/offer. It effectively means you shouldn't use unit trusts as they can never hope to keep pace with OEIC's which are single priced.

ptholden - 17 Aug 2011 17:21 - 109 of 139

I seem to be down 2.84% and have funds I can't even remember choosing. I guess the software chose them for me!

jonuk76 - 19 Aug 2011 19:48 - 110 of 139

It seems that you do lose the bid/offer on unit trusts in addition to the 0.5-1% commission, although no official is commenting on the issue on their forum. I'm quite sure this didn't happen last year. Best option would be to avoid them altogether I think - you can lose as much as 10% just on the initial charges.

Haystack - 25 Aug 2011 10:43 - 111 of 139

I notice that the team position is not being shown today.

The Other Kevin - 25 Aug 2011 10:44 - 112 of 139

Off the radar?

Haystack - 26 Aug 2011 17:03 - 113 of 139

Team position still not being shown.

skinny - 26 Aug 2011 17:17 - 114 of 139

You lot are useless :-))

Haystack - 01 Sep 2011 00:49 - 115 of 139

The team positions are still not showing.

The feature to show the top 250 teams is not working either.

Haystack - 01 Sep 2011 13:59 - 116 of 139

Team position fixed.

We are number 36 in the league up from yesterday's position 44.
