It is now time to switch to a new Money AM football blog as the world cup is now over and we all look to the future.....World cup 2010 is over, Bravo Espana, and Forlan, once again and bring on the new season !.....I never expected the last thread to be such a success...thanks all.... so this new one might go on for years without the need to edit the title...we shall see...

Are you a Toffee fan Chris ?......hope Trevor Francis recovers well.....superb player in his day and manager......Sheffield Wednesday in two finals one year .....if only we had players of that calibre now !.....and if I remember correctly played with Mancini at Sampdoria along with Liam Brady..... (not sure)...

Yes for my sins RF, dissapointed doesn't cover it. Liverpool never looked liked scoring until Distin lost the plot. Moyesey should have been more positive and built on the first half momentum, should have replaced Cahill and gone for the throat, once Suarez scored swung the odds sadly in the red shites favour. All is not lost can't see Liverpool beating Spurs or Chelsea in the final, can you? If Everton can escape at worst with a draw at Old Trafford next Sat, I fancy Everton to finish above Liverpool.

from an outsiders point of view - everton always seem to bottle it against pool - happens time after time

Yes good news......and what about Wigan ?......that Gunners side are unreliable....been the same all season.....having a small bet on Chelsea to win .....odds are worth a punt...

required field - 18 Apr 2012 11:07 - 975 of 6918

Going for Newcastle and Chelsea wins......odds quite good....worth a punt on the blues.......£10 ....for £50......not bad....and Chelsea are well capable of getting a result tonight...they must be on top at all times and rattle the Spaniards.....not so good in defense that lot if you shake them....

Chris Carson - 18 Apr 2012 12:07 - 976 of 6918

The odds on Chelsea to win is a bit of a clue rf. Hope I'm wrong.

required field - 18 Apr 2012 12:11 - 977 of 6918

Yes....but it's worth a tenner.....what do you prefer £10 to get just £17 or £50.....this Barcelona side are good no doubt but the Blues are on the up at the moment.....and I can't remember a time when they have come to Stamford Bridge and won....

Chris Carson - 18 Apr 2012 12:19 - 978 of 6918

2 pints and a meat pie at half time mate :O) Seriously rf I hope they do win, they have done well.

required field - 18 Apr 2012 12:28 - 979 of 6918

I have £50 on a blues win......for me that's plenty.....can risk that....never bet with more than you can afford to lose and the magpies look worthy of a punt as well....I'm not convinced that Real will overturn that result last night : Bayern are experts at just that one goal ahead thing....

Joe Say - 19 Apr 2012 07:17 - 980 of 6918

well done RF - and well done RDM - why on earth we appointed the muppet AVB god only knows (in hindsight)

skinny - 19 Apr 2012 07:19 - 981 of 6918

Not a Chelsea fan - but a well deserved win - Drogba's swansong ?

required field - 19 Apr 2012 07:27 - 982 of 6918

They will need to score in the Nou Camp.....perhaps twice.....if the blues get the first goal then Barca are going to need three and there is always the possibility of a blues second.....an away goal...at least one is a must !...Newcastle look worthy of a punt for the weekend...I would have said Reading but they might slack off now....

Chris Carson - 19 Apr 2012 07:59 - 983 of 6918

Nice one rf, brilliant defending Cahill and Cole superb, bodes well for England. Will be having a punt on Messi 1st goalscorer next week though.

required field - 19 Apr 2012 08:04 - 984 of 6918

Yes they were superb in defense.....a repeat performance is necessary with a couple of away goals....

required field - 22 Apr 2012 09:14 - 985 of 6918

Just seen the end bit of the australian final Brisbane-Perth...: if there is ever an ------ ref there was one in that final...injury time and 94 min...and a player dives after missing the ball...and he awards a penalty.....hope that the UK never ever has a ref like that...what a berk !....

required field - 22 Apr 2012 14:43 - 986 of 6918

4-4.....what a scoreline.....must have been a great match between ManU and Everton....

required field - 22 Apr 2012 14:53 - 987 of 6918

Barca out of the race for the spanish title.....2 losses in a week for the catalan giants....Chelsea will have to be at their best on tuesday....

required field - 24 Apr 2012 21:43 - 988 of 6918

Bravo Chelsea.....!!!...wonderful.....had a just a £10 bet to qualify......nothing else..... delighted....for the blues....sorry for John Terry..and Ramires but what a result........

Dil - 25 Apr 2012 01:29 - 989 of 6918

Great result for Chelsea but I certainly don't feel sorry for that idiot Terry , he knew what he was doing.
