How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?
Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

Well that was a first, had a matched back bet on Leeds at 1-0 up (1.50) with a lay bet in the market at 1.46 and sod me if it didn't get filled the second Leeds scored again :-( Oh, well, profit on the match so shouldn't complain.

Has everyone given up trading, thread seems awfully quiet now. Traded the Watford v Palace match tonight, mostly scalping the draw. A bit nerve wracking just in case one of them managed to score. But a successful eveing nonetheless.

Sorry , went to watch Ebbooo tonight (got stuffed) , watched Leeds game but as an avid supporter wouldn't even turn comp on as never like to tempt fate.
Noticed last summer that the thin markets on the Scandanavian matches was easy to get cracking prices in play but only on small amounts.
World Cup should be a laff , especially England games , bound to be wrongly priced.

Doubt anyone has been trading tonight, but the Sec v Barca game has been a first half classic. Was already green after Sev went 2-0 up and had the finger poised to Lay Sev at 1.07, but hesitated. Now 2-2 and Sev trading at 2.42. Kicking myself, but at least guaranteed a profit. Sev seemd very short odds after only 40 mins, even at 2-0 up.

Got lucky yesterday , lumped on West Ham at 1-0 and managed to green up at 2-0 about a milisecond before Liverpool scored.
Sat back and enjoyed the rest of the game , well done to the Scousers and Gerrard in particular.

Dil...That luck of yours must have been infectious. Backed WH shortly after they went 3-2 up, grabbed over 50 ticks and greened up moments before the scousers equalised.
