Wow - that's tyhr rights issue out of the way then! Couldn't have placed them at 12.8 yesterday so it must be that new finance chappie saying "do it now!!!" I don't know what that means for the SP except that price kept going up after the news. 38M shares is only 5% of the whole so it isn't big or punitive or anything YOOMedia like.
The Tulips market rose for a long time as did the South Sea Bubble before they went south - lets have our fun with SEO for a while yet...

Just a small correction to post number 973 AdieH - existing share number 84.3 million, not 843 million, so 38 million is a very significant 31% of new total.
Hopwever, I'm with those who say it was raised for very positive reasons - to fund expansion and tooling up to cope with demand for the new product nopw proven.
The price of 12+p each also puts a healthy minimum under the existing 14.5p bid.
Good days work, say I.

No Stockdog - there are 640M shares in issue not 84M - SEO have always had a huge number in issue. This new issue is only 5% of the total

Just in case some of you missed this. I lifted it from the BPRG thread and is relevant to SEO. Posted by The French Connection.
Amities / bonsoir/ salut . en brevite..>.Despite what may appear a glistening flow of products in the pipeline l find very little attraction in this company in its own right. To my mind it flatters only to deceive .lts board and senior management are at best stationary, uninspiring, vaccilitating and ,and have found to be utterly wanting on a number of occasions . Personally l am surprised it has even survived the 60p level what with the volume of short held positions . Those who run the book on this ex city darling do not hold it in great esteem. One of whom is known to me rates them 68p tops ! Like my self recently the s/p has been playing the 62p -73p sidestep boogie and prior to that it was a 62p-75p . Now regardless of it breaking out of these trading parameters and achieving the dizzy heights of 80p last week i believe all things left to themselves it would be back to the 62 level within a few weeks . lt is one of those shares that over the years has fully proven the adage that all that glitters is not gold .Personally i would never pay more than 62p for this stock . Now having said all that they have proven without doubt in a prolonged High court action that ownership of a family of patents regarding intelectual property was undoubtadly infriged upon by SEO. Talk of 15m in punitives damages and incurred associated legal costs are on the cards. Now SEO have a mere derisory 800k in the bank and under usual circumstances such a court case would have sunk them without trace . A Phyric victory for BPRG you would agree and pretty typical to be honest of the way business is done at BPRG . But as seldom happens in such scenarios - Father luck seemingly makes an appearance ; and SEO announce they also have seemingly commercial interlectual properties of thier own in RF tec and are in trials with a number of retail giants . . A technology that could yield untold millions if deals are struck with their suitors like Asda and through them to Wal Mart . C'est le vie ! Now irrespective of how revolutinary and marvelous this RF tec proves to be it DOES not erradicate the problem of the small problem of SEO stumping up 15 million quid !! And pretty sharpish,, .. .l cannot UNDERESTIMATE the importance of SEO finding such monies . .But how ? Well as it happens BPRG {whose legal costs were paid by thier insurers} are in a position, what with 20m in liquid cash, to settle the small problem of Seo's court costs and in return for that and punitive damages a 20% interest in SEO would seem reasonable. ...Now thats a deal that may allow BPRG to progress ( pun unintended) and Seo to survive. C'est marche ou creve ,, Personally i dont believe CEO Balchin is up to the job and as for the addition of a Durlacher man to the SEO board cuts no ice with me and , as such, l remain unimpressed . Does anyone know of a successful lPO or company backed by DUC ,? LOL ..As for BPRG without such an interest in SEO i see very little material change to thier chequered past for the immediate future. ,,But it goes without saying this is merely my personal input and i wish only "good Luck " to all holders of BPRG ,,,,,a'bientot . bonne chance ! @+ J

Go for a walk with the Lab., Honey, and the site is inundated with posts. Excellent news. One of the potential downsides was a major placement, possibly with a rights issue. But this is quite small beer. Half the number of shares that would have been needed a week ago! Too small to warrant a rights issue and that would have delayed things (nothing like the YOO situation where shareholders were cut out of a lot of value). Sets them up for the production phase.
The ASDA deal is excellent. It puts SEO on a strong negotiating foot re pice/sroyalties in return for a period of exclusivity. How much are ASDA prepared to pay, say, for a one year lead? That won't stop trials with thether companies, nor sales to third parties. I had been afraid that SEO would be negotiated off the table by ASDA in terms of price but the exclusivity option prevents that. ASDA will realise that they can't stop others getting the R/F packaging by other routes so I can't see them quoting silly lengths of time. Then its Walmart - in parallel with non-excluded competitors, Europe, other products. What is the value of this share? The sky is the limit!!
Great to see Dexter on board - huge respect for you from the Pet Board and you've already made a really positive contribution here.
The dreams tonight are reality!

Sorry everyone - hit the send button early (I'm just so excited!)
Sorry too about mis-information on shares in issue - Comdirect have the dec. place wrong.
Digital Look and Self Trade confirm it's 843 million (assuming they've got it right)
Apologies

Also Sharescope Fuures Capitla of 90.6 million Nume of shares at that time (4/2/2005) 843million. the price then of 10.75p.
I think this was correct.

Poverty, the 180k was an initial downpayment to cover some legal costs. The damages for breach of trust etc have not been assessed....yet. I've now bought a slug of SEO so mixed feelings on that one!

Amities,/Slt ..Considering yesterdays and todays combined volumes exceed that of the small rights issue and in excess of some 800m+ shares are currently in issue i think the dilutive effect in this type of share will be minimal . And especially in SEO s current market ...... Upon first glance this seems a wonderful RNS .First class.Could we have asked for more at this stage ?? .Not only as another contributer clearly pointed out do we seemingly have a plethora of buyers of buyers @12.8p providing a cushioning if rather wooly and wooden ;but from that RNS statement i get the feeling that SEO are talking from a position of power and stength and setting the agenda as matters. Am i reading to much into the language used in this RNS ?. Without scrutinizing every word l think its great !!! ,,oh LOL Before i go . Eric ? Can i cordially ask as to your meaning as to some being level headed whist i wear a beret . Dont get me wrong no offence was taken and i pissed myself laughing. Trouble being .l simply cant understand it . l am a little slow like that u see. ,,,a'bientot ,,bonne chance ,,J @+

According to ShareScope there are 843m shares in circulation (presumably before todays issue). Today's rise gives SEO a market capatalisation of 125m.

Panic EVO (Fleming) has been saying for a while that SEO are potential 1.00 shares if the technology is harvested correctly and deals signed. EVO who he works for (I think) are just saying based on new information regarding ASDA etc they believe the company should be valued at 20p per share (cannot be bothered to do calculations) but it means the company should be valued at ex amount of millions. Hope this helps... Your probably up to GCSE level now...
