How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?
Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

STILL having connection speed problems between BA Pro and Betfair, making life impossible and most fed up. Connection Mode is 'zero', dunno what to change it to, to make an improvement though.

pth, I asked one of the guys to look into it. You still seem to be on a slightly older version of the software which probably doesn't help. Standard connection mode started playing up for me on Friday so I switched to a different Betfair server. I didn't want to risk anything for the Derby which I put a substaintial amount of money through.
We always work hard to get the best possible stability for the software else I could be in big trouble with the amount of money I use. Unfortunately Betfair and the Internet can be a bit flaky at times.
I sat down last night and wrote up some material on the connection modes which I will get released to users this week. This should help you choose the best mode going forward.

England rediculously short to chase 325 at 2.5, the only thing is this will get dramatically shorter if england start well - 20/0 could see 2.0
will be laying england, just trying to fnd the right entry point

backed SL all the way up (highest at 2.58), a most profitable test but most disappointing as an england fan, but murali has just been too good
