Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Cerise Noire Girl - 29 Oct 2018 07:30 - 9854 of 12628

Yes, Dilbert, I did hear about your glorious summer this year. Didn't it reach 20-something degrees for more than 7 consecutive days, and Public Health England issued health warnings, the train lines buckled, and the tarmac on the roads melted?

Clocktower - 29 Oct 2018 08:14 - 9855 of 12628

Cerise Noire Girl, please do not sun yourself on the beach in front of my property as I assume it would put my guests off, having to view you without tan lines.

If you care to post a picture, I will let others on the thread be the judge. :-)

cynic - 29 Oct 2018 09:50 - 9856 of 12628

Merkel has now announced that she'll stand down as leader of CDU, to which news the markets have surged even further
why?
certainly i did not perceive her as being particularly obstructive (unlike Barnier) to the Brexit negotiations
what have I missed?

iturama - 29 Oct 2018 12:21 - 9857 of 12628

The rumour is that she intends to run for Druncker's job in 2019.

Fred1new - 29 Oct 2018 12:49 - 9858 of 12628

Dil is hoping for a new banana republic.

iturama - 29 Oct 2018 13:49 - 9859 of 12628

You were probably there Fred; remind us why Red Ken had to sack potty mouth McDonnell from the GLC.

iturama - 29 Oct 2018 13:51 - 9860 of 12628

No easy way of saying this Hilary but you look knackered and washed out. You seem to have lost your pants also. Time to come home.

Cerise Noire Girl - 30 Oct 2018 07:13 - 9861 of 12628

You'll be pleased to know that I intend to come home this week, iturama - now that summer's over. I'm looking forward to it.

Unfortunately, I also have a short trip planned to the UK in November. That's definitely something I'm not looking forward to!

iturama - 30 Oct 2018 08:18 - 9862 of 12628

You're really looking forward to it but just being cussed. You can buy Brexit souvenirs for the family while you are here. They are doing a nice line in water wings for your pool. Not on sale in France as they may end up in Calais.

cynic - 30 Oct 2018 08:53 - 9864 of 12628

fred - did you actually bestir yourself to go on the pro-2nd-referendum march last weekend?

Fred1new - 30 Oct 2018 09:06 - 9865 of 12628

Cynic and Dad's army,

Another tory scam.

But you can buy a few of the new £1 coins being minted to support the moral of your country.

Hear the new Brexit £1 coin will be worth 50p.

cynic - 30 Oct 2018 09:08 - 9866 of 12628

fred - are you unable to answer my simple question?

iturama - 30 Oct 2018 09:59 - 9867 of 12628

Fred doesn't do answers. A socialist only when it suits him. One day shouting all's blue and the next day back to his idol, the sick minded Rowson. Matt is at least amusing. I wonder how much blue there would be if that shower on the opposition front bench were ever in control of the purse strings.
C'mon Fred, tell us why McDonnell was too left even for Red Ken. Don't be shy. A new suit and specs doesn't change the person wearing them.

Fred1new - 30 Oct 2018 10:29 - 9868 of 12628

Manuel.

The majority of your questions don't merit an answer.

Also, with your limitations, you have enough to contend with without worrying about my actions.

=-=-=-=

It,

Unlike the tory rabble, I doubt that a Labour government would be falsifying the books as much as the present typically self-interested group of con artists are doing.

They can't even state what they are trying to negotiate as a "Brexit Deal".

They don't know.

A bunch of incompetents trying to hold on to their own pay packets.

A cabinet which has more changes in a few months than Manuel changes his mind or underwear. (Perhaps Cabernet was the correct word.)

When is the next resignation?

Is IDS being put forward as the neo-cons new leader, with Dr Spock as his deputy and the Moggy as the No 10 ratcatcher?

The Government of Farce.

Dil - 30 Oct 2018 10:57 - 9869 of 12628

Only 150 days to go Fred , oh joy.

Fred1new - 30 Oct 2018 11:31 - 9870 of 12628

Dil,

Are there any Mental Hospitals or Psychiatric units close to you?

Ask your family to check them for a vacancy for you.

You may need it.

cynic - 30 Oct 2018 13:15 - 9871 of 12628

of course fred doesn't answer a simple question, but reverts to his usual supercilious and belittling of whoever happens to post

on that basis, it can be safely assumed that fred did NOT go on the march any more than he ever votes

all mouth and no trousers, in all senses

Fred1new - 30 Oct 2018 14:53 - 9872 of 12628

Manuel,

How could one possibly belittle you better than you do yourself?

But the march was said to be very well organised and friendly and made up mainly by sensible more thoughtful members of middle classes, not the usual tory rabble and neo-cons.

It would be obvious you wouldn't have been happy in such company.

cynic - 30 Oct 2018 14:59 - 9873 of 12628

i happen not to agree with the push for a 2nd referendum, though unlike you, i have no problems if others have a differing view
anyway, some friends of mine went, and apparently it was indeed quite a jolly affair
