As I said some time ago, the deal is that NW supplies SEO with some raw materials, SEO then makes Starpol and sells that back to NW, who then sells it to WM. The rumor was that a pilot production was underway.

Still trying to work out why the RNS was released at such a strange time of the day. If Boz is right (and he may well be) thencould the timing of it be to catch the eyes of Asian and Australasian traders, making them think there was about to be an announcement in The USA, and trying that market to bolster the sp?
Just a thought and probably a load of tosh, but I cannot think of any other reason for issuing an RNS when the worlds major players are fast asleep!!

But surely a one year exclusive contract could be described as 'taking on'?

I do agree the need to see some orders out of the UK, but ASDA and Walmart are the same cake. If ASDA do like it, there is no reason to slow the Walmart sign up simply due to low public orders.

Oily,

Its listed as a 8500 AT sell at 9.53 on LSE so that just goes to show that these sites do just make an educated guess as to whether its a buy or sell.

U still wanting that info regarding radiation oily?

Q.

qc - 23 Sep 2005 10:47 - 9899 of 27111

Could the reason that the information was released at 12.01am ET be so that it is the first report that everyone will see/read on financial sites reporting RNS type info perhaps? IE bring it to peoples attention?

qc

Yes. Send it to FYB. Hopefully it will be up and running soom.

Thanks

The oily one

Oily Hi,

That is the trade, the dealer at work who did the trade for me(we are not allowed to do our own trades !), let me know at 10.02 that the buy had gone through.

Neils, thanks for that info, also if NW sell to WM, then WM still need Greenseal to seal it :)

Cheers,
PM

Will do, might be later tonight or tomorrow if the sites still down this morning :-)

I had a look at the detailed agenda for the sustainable packaging conference and noted SEO's absence. Anyway, I have spoken to SEO and they have confirmed they will be attending and are undergoing preparations.

masterson

You are such a liar lol!

Tonyrelaxes - 23 Sep 2005 11:29 - 9906 of 27111

Greyhound
Did SEO indicate the promotional subject of their attendance? Greenseal/Starpol or Frog/Petalpack or everythingl?

Greyhound - 23 Sep 2005 11:31 - 9907 of 27111

I didn't enquire as I was watching something else.

Tonyrelaxes - 23 Sep 2005 11:35 - 9908 of 27111

OK. Thanks. I am sure they are smart enough not to let any opportunity pass.

PM - lol.

Also, I note that the Commercial Director of NatureWorks will be addressing the conference on Wed 19th Oct.

bosley - 23 Sep 2005 12:31 - 9911 of 27111

bugz, by "taking on" i meant actual orders, not just using the savings greenseal can make to force supplier prices down, like the northern foods situation. think about it. any news reagrding a trial or a deal with walmart should be viewed as wonderful, magnificent news for seo, but, without greenseal orders from asda, it will be merely viewed as hype and people are going to be sceptical. considering how successful the trials were and that we have been saying "we need more orders" since april, surely it can't just be me that's concerned?

paulmasterson1 - 23 Sep 2005 12:31 - 9912 of 27111

Bloodhound Hi,

Nothing beats a trail of crumbs to help us sniff out the deal :))))

Did you notice any other 'interesting' attendees or speakers ?

Cheers,
PM

paulmasterson1 - 23 Sep 2005 12:37 - 9913 of 27111

Bosley Hi,

Hopefully any Wal-Mart deal would state 'several thousand machines in the first year', surely that would stuff the doubters as far as rollout numbers are concerned ?

AEIS and Premier must be fully up to speed by now on what they have to do, once Wal-Mart sign a deal, and they are ready and waiting for that deal too.

Don't forget, ASDA deal is for 'several hundred conversions' in the first 12 months, nobody stated they would all be happening in the first 3 or even 6 months, so long as they all appear within 12 months, I see nothing to worry about, and nobody is claiming any more than is possible or expected.

Cheers,
PM
