emerald is certainly NOT lastminute.com and I think you just have to be realistic and put this company in the perspective of some other small and midcap oils.

it has a monster mkt cap versus production so i think it requires a HUGE boost to double in price.

this name is way way too expensive to be aquired and has already had its spike from the current paultry production.

make your money really work, sell een and buy a quality growth story...for the record i am hugely bullish of ESY (Easynet)- growth, cash and s**t hot management.

what do you think the prospect for the next six months are will they make the 3p mark or not? let's hope so.

windys160 - 04 Jun 2004 08:02 - 101 of 249

proptrade - 04 Jun 2004 10:10 - 102 of 249

usual spivvy story...when volume and hype picks up so will the comments!

protrade what do you think the prospect for this company could over the next 12 months? cheers windy

i really think we have already seen the highs of the year and we will see the stock consolidate down to the 1.35 ish level and maybe have the odd spike to around where they are trading now. there is no new news and unless they sign a contract for more wildcat drilling there won't be a catalyst for a while.

best advise is look for a more dynamic name in the sector or latch on to a growth story with a company that has consistantly delivered (eg ESY).

a great weekend to all

protrade i think you mightr right about 1.35 the way they are going they will be there very shortly :-( was hoping it was going to gain ground but at the moment they seem to be slipping further down the ground, do you think it will go back 1.18 like it was a few weeks or so ago or stop soon and recover slightly?

proptrade - 10 Jun 2004 09:44 - 106 of 249

I just think the name will drift on no news for a while. They would need a major catalyst to push back towards 2 or otherwise will probably find a comfortable range between 1.20 and 1.60. if they disappoint, as EEN management has repeatedly managed to do for years, the stock could easily plummet below 1.

I maintain that unless you are an ultra long holder and put this stock in a bottom draw(which i would not advocate), there are far far better stocks out there for your cash.

does anyone know whats going on here ? it just keeps going down.
dexter

proptrade - 14 Jun 2004 11:55 - 110 of 249

familiar story....volume spike, punters interested, price overshoots massively on the upside on the back of relatively minor information, a huge cap stock and loads of hype.

not trying to be over cynical dexter but that really is a quick overview.

At the moment all stocks are spiralling down we can only speculate when when the market begins to recover!

proptrade - 16 Jun 2004 09:52 - 115 of 249

agreed, newsflow has slowed down in this name and the slide continues.

xmortal - 16 Jun 2004 17:55 - 116 of 249

All TA look bad for EEN. may be a slight rebound. The trend is now downward.

gordon geko - 21 Jun 2004 12:59 - 117 of 249

looks like could stabilise at this level ??

gordon geko - 22 Jun 2004 11:03 - 118 of 249
