Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

At least he is clearly virile Hilary. Unlike that geriatric reprobate Fred who only dreams of taking your cherry.

Clocktower - 05 Nov 2018 09:33 - 9904 of 12628

CNG - Moggy can afford support all those kids and I sure he has come to the conclusion that now is the time to withdraw, as I expect he is aware that the EU will want him to support all their rash decisions, including the open door policy that has resulted in divided nations, alog with all their kids.

It,

Are you trying to project or compensate for your own obvious inadequacies?

Perhaps, you should read :

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/nov/04/the-american-civil-war-didnt-end-and-trump-is-a-confederate-president

and then relate it to the messages from the Brexit Rabble, led by Farage, Boris, The Moggie, IDS, and cohorts.

I wonder what Trump's real goals are?

I also question what the expectations of the Brexit elite's are?

Fred1new - 05 Nov 2018 09:52 - 9906 of 12628

It,

Perhaps, if Brexit goes through you will recall:

"a dead statesman

I could not dig: I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?"

iturama - 05 Nov 2018 12:39 - 9907 of 12628

That's pretty good Fred except for the word statesman. Could have been written by Corby himself.
A statesman by definition is wise, respected and experienced.

Clocktower - 05 Nov 2018 12:57 - 9908 of 12628

"Perhaps, if Brexit goes through" Fred - you must mean when it goes through.

We cast off the chains that held us back
Taking advantage of the slack.
They feared that once we were free
Their lies will be there for all to see.

No longer will we pay
We have had our say.
Remainers will change their way
Bexiters have won the day.

cynic - 05 Nov 2018 13:06 - 9909 of 12628

as has been obvious from the outset, no one side will win, for a compromise of some kind was and remains the pragmatic outcome

Fred1new - 05 Nov 2018 14:15 - 9910 of 12628

It,

As a fool would say!

Fred1new - 05 Nov 2018 14:29 - 9911 of 12628

Manuel,

Do you mean the UK operating under the rules and regulations operated by the EU in Brussels, and adhering to the laws without the ability to change those rs. and regs or laws.

Ie. on the outside looking in at the table and not even see the menu being drawn up, but paying the bills.

If you look back through this thread to the post-referendum posts you will see that is what I foresaw as a possible outcome.

cynic - 05 Nov 2018 14:53 - 9912 of 12628

i do not "mean" anything, for along with everyone else, i'll just learn to live with whatever finally comes out of the cauldron

all i do know is that the drawbridge brigade might as well jump off beachy head now

the whingeing remain brigade will also not get what they want .......

and personally, i very much hope there will be no 2nd referendum as i see that opening up a whole pandora's box on other issues as the years go by

Fred1new - 05 Nov 2018 15:29 - 9913 of 12628

It is good to know that after "Brexit" the UK is going to have a British Foreign Legion to defend it.

I wonder if press-ganging to defend England.

Manuel, you will have to be careful!

Clocktower - 05 Nov 2018 15:38 - 9914 of 12628

Would the English not now prefer to be ruled by Saudi Arabia or the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, or is it just a matter of time before it happens?

Fred1new - 05 Nov 2018 15:40 - 9915 of 12628

By the way, were the Brexit leaders and followers bought by Aaron Banks and donors?

Just interested!

Clocktower - 05 Nov 2018 15:56 - 9916 of 12628

If you watched the Andrew Marr show on Sunday you would know that Aaron Banks gave a clear and concise answer as to the orgins of the money he donated - some people will just not accept it was his money no matter what he says, are you one of them Fred?

cynic - 05 Nov 2018 16:06 - 9917 of 12628

my gut feeling is that aaron banks is a pretty shady guy though i readily admit i have nothing solid on which to base that

"UWO" in the offing perhaps?

Clocktower - 05 Nov 2018 16:08 - 9918 of 12628

Easy to smear someones name for personal or political gain.

cynic - 05 Nov 2018 16:16 - 9919 of 12628

i have nothing to gain, and if he is shown as a fine upstanding chap then all well and good ....... rather as abramovich suddenly is not
