required field - 14 Jul 2010 13:55

It is now time to switch to a new Money AM football blog as the world cup is now over and we all look to the future.....World cup 2010 is over, Bravo Espana, and Forlan, once again and bring on the new season !.....I never expected the last thread to be such a success...thanks all.... so this new one might go on for years without the need to edit the title...we shall see...

What a twat!

And again.

Ah bless - Terry’s in tears

required field - 25 Apr 2012 08:26 - 992 of 6918

Yes...it looks like a wooden leg knee thing.....bad reflex thing to do....

required field - 25 Apr 2012 08:46 - 993 of 6918

Real or Bayern.....both excellent teams.....almost impossible to predict....the Germans are well capable of getting an away goal......might go to extra time this one....

Chris Carson - 25 Apr 2012 13:04 - 994 of 6918

Chelsea's final last night, got through with the help of the football 'Gods'. How Terry expected to get away with those tactics with the amount of officials watching only he knows, pillock! With the amount of players now missing they wont be favourites whoever they play in the final, may suit them? Can't see lightening striking twice. To see 10 players parked in the penalty area isn't football.

required field - 25 Apr 2012 13:33 - 995 of 6918

True....Final is in Munich.....Chelsea will not be favourites ...far from it....English teams seem to be getting to the champions league final and losing most of the time...but who knows for sure ?...might just be their year !...

Oakapples142 - 26 Apr 2012 12:32 - 996 of 6918

Perhaps it will be a day when the forwards turn up - Kalou for example takes the field and does nothing other than lose the ball or miss golden opportunities. Terry still goes home as a multi millionaire - what has happened to the game since the crowd turned up in jacket and tie and a ratting cap - and many of us footballers were part time professionals.

Joe Say - 27 Apr 2012 07:16 - 997 of 6918

Couldn't diasagree with CC's comment "To see 10 players parked in the penalty area isn't football" more

In fact it is - and that's perhaps why all the other english clubs are out - with Man U being the only other british team imo with the tactical nous to recognise that

Chris Carson - 27 Apr 2012 07:54 - 998 of 6918

Tactical nous my arse, how many Chelsea players as a result of playing those tactics including your so called Captain are missing from the Final? There is no way I would pay to watch that crap week in week out.

required field - 27 Apr 2012 22:59 - 999 of 6918

Gardiola will be ManU's next manager.....you read it here... Sir Alex Ferguson is in no rush to retire and rightly so.....and I presume that even if he did he would become a director of football for ManU....so as to influence the style of play....he probably is the greatest manger the world has ever seen !....anyway I think that the catalan manager is probably going to be in strong contention for the manger's job at old trafford......by the way ManU are going to have to make their stadium bigger....it might become almost the size of wembley (not quite)..but almost with good planning.....impossible to bet on the ManU-Man City derby.....could go either way so a draw possibly ?...

Joe Say - 28 Apr 2012 08:44 - 1000 of 6918

So naive - we don't play like that every week, and had we played the way I suspect you'd have wanted, we would have been annihilated.

Armchair pundits, eh ?

Chris Carson - 28 Apr 2012 11:33 - 1001 of 6918

Naive ?

...... Oh well That's all right then, Chelsea's game plan fly on the wall :-

Look lads we have no chance of beating Barcelona fairly and squarely, they are so much better than us. Let's kick their players off the ball, Terry your the Captain lead by example mate. Ten men behind the ball and stop them from playing, foul the bastards outside the box, if you think you can get away with it inside the box as a last resort. Hope the ref is blind in one eye including the linesmen and third official behind the goal. Drogba your job is to hold up play in our half if and when you get the ball but make sure you get fouled, dive anyway, act as if you have two broken legs and take a ten minute nap. Oh and by the way if we get a lucky break do us a favour and either make or score a goal. Winnings what counts lads, after all it's only the Champions League semi final second leg, what's football got to do with it? If they can't take a joke fuxk em! Terry if if you get caught giving one of their players a dead leg plead insanity. Go get em lads!

Yes Congratulations Chelsea, Good Luck in the Final :O)

Sounds like a game plan from I think Helenio Herrera for InterMilan in the 1960's .....

required field - 29 Apr 2012 19:05 - 1003 of 6918

Fantastic stuff from Chelsea.....and Spurs have overcome Blackburn......what with Newcastle up there with a chance...quite an end to the season for the fourth champions league spot...I fancy the blues myself.....they have a double chance......I see that odds favour Bayern Munich......well they are playing on home turf......when the game comes round : perhaps a £20 bet on Chelsea might come handy.....to lift the trophy.....might be extra time again with that one again....good thing Torres is coming back to form.....

Roy Hodgson and England: Talks to start with the FA

Roy Hodgson is set to start talks with the Football Association on Monday and expected to be appointed England manager within days.
The FA says the West Brom manager, 64, is the only person it has approached about succeeding Fabio Capello.
He has already spoken with FA chairman David Bernstein and will meet with the four-man panel.

Paxman tackles Joey Barton on new England manager job

required field - 02 May 2012 10:41 - 1006 of 6918

Let's hope for a decent syle of play...and not :" euhhoh...it's ball...hell...what do I do with this...oh I know I'll kick it as far upfield as possible....that'll fool 'em...(15 seconds later)...aggghh...it's coming back...ohh..no....".....you know that sort of thing.....and endless substitutions bringing on god knows who at half time...never to be seen again....

Dil - 02 May 2012 18:58 - 1007 of 6918

Got my ticket for Cardiff v West Ham play off tomorrow , wonder if that plonker tabby will come down.

Dil - 04 May 2012 06:10 - 1008 of 6918

Wish I hadn't bothered.

Previous two seasons we've had good teams but how the hell we got into the play offs and the Carling Cup final with this lot is beyond me.

One class player , Whittingham , and he was the worst player on the pitch last night.

Continuing to play a 4-5-1 with Miller up a front as our lone striker who must be at least 2'6" small is so lacking in ambition plus the fact it takes him five shots to get one on target.

We lost 13 players at the end of last season , need to see something similar this year.

Dil - 04 May 2012 06:14 - 1009 of 6918

One glimmer of hope , last two seasons we haven't conceded a goal or lost an away leg in the play offs.

Clutching at straws I think.
