never had an acer but it sounds as if the internet connection has been lost, possibly the security number of the router may have been lost so check your wireless connections in control panel and try to get re-connected. If it's like my HP's the orange light will change to white/light blue when ok. Worth a look anyway. BB

Hodgins - I have an Acer 5742 and the blue light between the on/off button and the orange wifi light is constantly flashing. I don't think this blue light is your problem. The strength of the flash can vary from weak to strong and indicates something like a cylinder with a dot in the middle of it but I don't know what it is for.

A cylinder would usually indicate a disk access light.

Anyone know how to remove that pernicious " double click", without--

a) being re- directed to a worse site
b) having a " free" download which tells you you have thousands of ` problems` then demands cash to solve them

Go to the top of your browser's tool bar:

Tools
Internet options
Programs
Manage add-ons

Look at 'Show: Currently loaded add-ons'

Have a look at them and make a decison about whether you can safely Disable some of the currently Enabled add-ons.
You do this using a Right Click to start with and then changing the parameter from Enable to Disable.

If there are lots of unnecessary add-ons running in the back ground your surfing will be utterly painfully slow. You should easily achieve some miraculous results by doing this.

skinny - 28 Jun 2012 10:12 - 9945 of 11003

And if you don't use IE - How to disable add-ons/extensions in your browser?

Balerboy - 28 Jun 2012 10:37 - 9946 of 11003

Thanks excec, have trimmed my ad on's down. Learnt something new.,.

The Other Kevin - 14 Aug 2012 09:33 - 9947 of 11003

I wonder why my Stockwatch streaming page has suddenly developed a habit of producing a heavy underscore under the figures as they change, usually in the same colour of the figure but not necessarily. Any suggestions would be appreciated. TIA

moneye - 17 Aug 2012 09:30 - 9948 of 11003

I have a level2 subscription here and use laptop or desktop at home to view. Considering an i-pad to enable tracking while on the move. Does anyone have experience of how workable that is please.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 17 Aug 2012 09:36 - 9949 of 11003

moneye,

as the ipad does not support java, unfortunately, you would not be able to run any of our streaming services - level 2, stockwatch, trades etc.

Regards

Ian

kimoldfield - 17 Aug 2012 09:42 - 9950 of 11003

moneye, if you just want a rough idea of what is going on with your Stockwatch, an iPad is fine, just turn streaming off and keep doing refreshes. Not perfect but useful nevertheless.

moneye - 17 Aug 2012 09:55 - 9951 of 11003

Ian, Thanks for response. Are there any plans to produce apps to suit.?

Thanks also kimoldfield.
