Andy - as an existing investor I am happy to hold 11.53% of my portfolio in SEO - not planning to need to cash in profits for 10 + years and the 5 year view looks pretty interesting. I can see 1.80 in 5 years no problem - or not, but then I can always have sold by then. But the minute by minute analysis of Howard White's garbage bin seems to be spiralling out of control. It's a real lesson in just how hard it is to bring to commercialisation even the most exciting new ideas - but it will happen, there is too much macro-eco/politico/socio pressure for it not too, apart from the specific benefits of their IP.

As a potential new investor, I'd have to wait to see a bit of upward momentum and good news - certainly tjhe SP rising back up through the 20 and 40dma and the former crossing up through the latter - missing the first couple of pence in exchange for reduced risk is always a good bet. They would certainly need to leave clear blue water between the recent break below the double bottom support of 18p and the start of the next up trend.

As a potential trader - do NOT read this thread - read the chart, RNS and director trades and act on what you see, not on what you (or PM or shamona or ii) believe.

Very good post, Stockdog!!!

good postings from andy, oily and sd. about time some reality came back to this thread.

As a long term investor in SEO I haven't sold any shares only topped up on the dips (about ten times) and will remain doing so, long term I have always maintained 150p with in two years if I am a few months out that is no problem for me like sd I do not need these funds they can stay where they are for many more years.
If I was a new punter and did not want to lose out on a sudden sp rise then only invest some and average down if it went the other way, long term you will win with SEO in your portfolio.

Bugz - 24 Sep 2005 13:00 - 9954 of 27111

The thread has returned!

SD, oily, andy, there is no difference between what PM1, QC and myself have been posting and yourselves. You all think the sp is going to break the 1.00 mark at some point in the future.

Why not wack a bit of cash in now then and forget about it for a year? Getting in at 18p compared to 30p makes a huge difference in profits. Never risk what you cant afford to lose but buying a bit at this price cant do any harm, especially considering that 90% percent on this board realistically expect the sp to cross the 1.00 level at some point in the net few years.

This is the INVESTORS board, not the trading board, if you are investing,I think these prices are a great time to get in and profit from the SP coming hopefully from a Walmart RNS. Short term time frames are not important. As someone said on the last board, prehaps LOADS of people are waiting for that anouncement before buying. I'd like to get in first.

Hi All,

I will be buying a lot more SEO between now and the Wal-Mart deal, which to me is inevitable, now that Wal-Mart are going to soon tell the world, that they will be the biggest ambassador of sustainable and reduced packaging in the world.

Try buying SEO stock online on the day of the Wal-Mart announcement, you will be very lucky to get anything over the NMS, which currently sits at 100,000, but you most likely won't get 50,000 in one deal, and that would then drop to 25,000. Not very useful when you have a lot of cash, and just want as much SEO stock as you can get your greedy hands on. The stock will cost you a lot more than 20p as soon as the announcement hits the market, so why not buy at the current 18p and save yourself all the hassle, save money, and get as much stock as you want ?

There is very limited downside potential, and huge upside potential, that is always the best time to buy, and thats why I bought again last week, and the week before.

As I said before, the 200 machines will IMVHO be converted in the first year, they may take another 9 months to get them all in place, but nobody claimed they would all be converted in the first 6 weeks or the first 6 months, the statement said 'the first 12 months', and people should remember that, and be more patient for that 12 months.

There will also be a lot of other products getting nice commercial deals over the next 12 months, like Frogpack is right now, cradlewrap might well get the next deal, and there are more poducts to come from Biotec, to be announced over the coming weeks and months, so Greenseal is not the be-all and end-all of Stanelco, rather it is, when combined with Starpol 2000, the current best hope for 1+ near term share price, but I am in for 3-5 years minimum, and so are the majority of longs.

Cheers,
PM

PM1

Do you really have to say that the WalMart deal is "inevitable"?

All of us on this board who are already invested and those who are waiting to invest, hope that the announcement will come during or following the gathering between 17-19th October.

But WalMart has its own problems to solve, some with its unionised workers who are not too happy to see the work they do instore, moved out to packaging companies where they have no firm representation.

This is not a deliberate deramp as I want to share price hit 1 asap, but please do not present the case as a fait accompli.

If it does happen, I shall acknowledge that your optimism was luckily well founded.

The oily one

paulmasterson1 - 24 Sep 2005 16:17 - 9960 of 27111

Oily Hi,

IMVHO the announcement will come before the show, then Wal-Mart can say 'look what we just/recently signed' .... it could be as late as the day before ....

I can't see how Wal-Mart could declare at the time of the show, that they were going to use Greenseal and Starpol, if it hadn't already been announced to the market by them and Stanelco, they are both listed companies, and have rules to follow, but another big reason for them not announcing on the day, is that it will make them look like they are only making the agreement in order to stuff the Wal-MArt bashers, but they will want it to SHOW that they are committed to the tecvhnology for it's benefits.

I suggest you have a chat with Tony Ruane, and/or Howard White about this ....

Cheers,
PM

How much does a ton of Starpol cost a customer?

shman - 24 Sep 2005 16:19 - 9962 of 27111

PM1 - Stegrego on the other side has posted this just now..hope he does't mind me sharing it to all here on this BB

" Apologies if this has been mentioned b4 but i must of missed the RNS or something!

In this weeks Moneyweek there is a piece on Stanelco quoting from Tom Bulford of Red Hot Penny Shares.

Wont type it all but says ' Asda is already using Stanelco products and now CARGILL, the US food giant, has also been enlisted as a customer.'

First time ive seen Cargill mentioned or perhaps i have just missed it??

NielsJensen - 24 Sep 2005 16:25 - 9963 of 27111

Ahh, I found the price of Starpol, it's $5-$8 per kilo. Say $8000 pr. ton, that's sales of up to 120 million USD next 12 months.

insiderinside - 24 Sep 2005 16:52 - 9964 of 27111

shman - Stegrego - do not try ramping that - read the EGM statement - Stanelco is a customer of Cargill for the ingredients of Biotec products - are you getting desperate - the price will fall more - and more.

30 August 2005
Stanelco PLC (Stanelco or the Company)
EGM Statement

Stanelco PLC is pleased to announce that all the resolutions at the Companys EGM held at 10.00a.m. this morning were duly passed. The acquisition of Biotec Holdings GmbH (Biotec) will therefore be completed shortly.
As a result, the previously announced conditional sale of a 50% interest in Biotec to SP Metal S.A. (SP Metal) will also shortly become effective and the consideration received by Stanelco will be used to fund 50% of the Biotec acquisition. Under the joint venture more of Biotecs considerable Intellectual Property portfolio will be commercialised. Biotec have received a conditional commitment from SP Metal for an annual purchase of approximately 10,000 metric tonnes of Biotecs biodegradable plastic pellet worth in excess of 20m per year.
Stanelco and SP Metal had initially agreed to increase Biotecs production capacity of biodegradable pellets to at least 12,000 metric tonnes within nine months via a joint investment programme of up to 4.5m. However due to further recent improvements in both the production procedures and the ability to process the materials, a capacity of 24,000 tonnes for an investment of 2m is now envisaged within the same period.
In an earlier announcement today, NatureWorks LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cargill Inc has agreed the supply of the major component of Biotecs Starpol materials which will make Biotecs products price competitive with a number of materials currently used in the target market segments.
