Your page loading speed does seem poor. I load mam pages in under a second on my pc. It is about the same speed on agoogle tablet. It sounds more like broadband speed is the problem.

lol
I think I pay enough already not to have double click stealing my private info., I shall investigate another supplier who doesn`t use it, its a pernicious piece of privacy invasion- and its getting worse, time a new law was brought in allowing one to opt out of this type of intrusion.

If you refresh and watch the toolbar you will see how many other sites are loaded along with MAM I counted seven, all ad spies, and you can`t stop them,. I have tried

As magazine did not arrive today, I tried to download it resulting in the following message "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". Had the same problem last week as well.Any ideas,I followed the on screen instructions for this error to no avail.

Sequestor - 24 Aug 2012 07:29 - 9960 of 11003

I had problems with BT Broadband most of yesterday morning, they wouldn`t admit to it being country wide but said it was only a London problem, also the MacAfee software
was causing crashes, well they had to blame something.

Again god only knows what doubleclick and similar are doing to our computers.

Seq, if your that worried about cookies, set I.E. to delete all on close down. or use spybot.

The Other Kevin - 24 Aug 2012 09:45 - 9962 of 11003

....or use C Cleaner.

Haystack - 26 Aug 2012 18:46 - 9963 of 11003

It is a bit unrealistic to compalin about MAM and their adverts. Most commercial sites of all sorts have far more links and cookies as they load. Take this link to the film database imdb for instance. Just watch it as it loads.

The alternative is just to avoid the internet.

Anybody having trouble accessing Amazon.co.uk? Been having intermittent problems accessing the site since the last two days. All others sites seem ok.

kimoldfield - 27 Aug 2012 13:37 - 9965 of 11003

Seems ok klal. I accessed the site via Safari.

klal - 27 Aug 2012 14:23 - 9966 of 11003

Thanks k. Something weird on my system - running some scans.

EDIT: Apparently, a problem with my ISP, O2. Some major fibre problem causing routing issues.

Mega Bucks - 27 Aug 2012 16:32 - 9967 of 11003

My old CRT T.V. has now packed up and isn't really worth fixing again!
Have been looking at new T.V.'s and am considering buying a Samsung Smart T.V. which comes with pre-installed sofware & apps.
Does anyone actually use the 'Smart' capability of their T.V. or is it just a sales gimmick? It seems to add about £100 to the price of the non-smart version.

Stan - 14 Sep 2012 10:50 - 9971 of 11003

Why bother paying anything for a TV Harry? When ours went and having already been a member of Freecycle, we just responded to an ad. and went to pick it up for free.

Stan - 14 Sep 2012 10:55 - 9972 of 11003

http://groups.freecycle.org/norwichukfreecycle/posts/search Just did a quick search , plenty to choose from there by the looks of things.

Norwich - a bit of a slap :-)

HARRYCAT - 14 Sep 2012 11:57 - 9974 of 11003

Thanks for info Stan, but still interested if anyone actually uses the Smart feature on their telly?

Haystack - 14 Sep 2012 13:02 - 9975 of 11003

I use the smart features. Our TV a Panasonic is connected to the internet by an ethernet cable. You can use Youtube on the TV and plug a USB keyboard in. There are dozens of apps built into the TV and more are updated from time to time.

Some of the even better Samsung TVs have web browsers etc. You get a very large screen that way.

Question for anyone please...
have you any idea how to print off saved stock screen lists on the stock screener on Digital Look?.

Got it all set up on the experienced one, do my screen 28/52 stocks etc etc come out but I cant use print preview on Epsom printer as it goes ballistic and overloaded. Think im trying to load live data up.

Then tried print screen paint etc but its a massive job.

Also tried copying it to word and again nearly blows up.

Any idea how I can get the list off I create and print it?.

Any help appreciated.
