This_is_me - 18 Jul 2004 00:15 - 9973 of 23498

Best thing that could happen to a capri - basically a crude machine in a nice looking bodyshell; either slow or with too much power for the chassis. I remember burning one off at the lights in my Mini 1000 and the peeved driver (trying to impress the dolly bird he had in the passenger seat) then tried to follow me round a sharp left hand turn, of course the Mini stuck to the road like glue while the Capri did a 180 degree spin.

daves dazzlers - 18 Jul 2004 00:15 - 9974 of 23498

storme have you ever been over for the tt in june.

daves dazzlers - 18 Jul 2004 00:19 - 9975 of 23498

daves dazzlers - 18 Jul 2004 00:21 - 9976 of 23498

dd,
Never been to tt. Used to know a bloke who supercharged mini-coopers, life changing experience to ride one of those. Downside was engines used to last three months, but would see an e-type to a ton!

stockbunny - 18 Jul 2004 11:12 - 9981 of 23498

Good Morning very briefly from the bunny!

Has the cat been found??? - rather lost track in the 190 posts that had
gone thru' since I was last on. (I'm a big moggie fan so hope it is safe)

Turning 40 - whoever said its all down to mental attitude is right, just
don't think about it or think you have to act it - however you're supposed
to do that - I'm over 40 on paper, but extremely immature for my age and
I don't care!!! - at least at 40 people can't tell you to 'grow up' very convincingly any more!! (lol)

Well I'm off for the day now, stuff to do - have a great day and may see
you all tomorrow - here's to a good week on the FTSE!!!!

daves dazzlers - 18 Jul 2004 11:22 - 9982 of 23498

bunny,it was me who said i am allmost 40,i dont care about age myself.i still act 12.a bit of a hit on mtn last week, dont worry i`am not.

Socrates - 18 Jul 2004 12:18 - 9983 of 23498

Good day cafe people. I just thought I would pop in to catch up with the chat and to imbibe a nice cup of tea. Is that a pineapple I see before me, I'll have a chunk of that, super stuff.

The chat about cars reminded me that when I was looking for my latest wheels I saw a superb Bentley with only 49,000 on the clock and just over 12,000. By the time I got back with her-indoors it was sold. Bought a beamer instead, now drive a rocket propelled 328i.

Quite fancy a Triumph Rocket 3 though.
