My old CRT T.V. has now packed up and isn't really worth fixing again!
Have been looking at new T.V.'s and am considering buying a Samsung Smart T.V. which comes with pre-installed sofware & apps.
Does anyone actually use the 'Smart' capability of their T.V. or is it just a sales gimmick? It seems to add about £100 to the price of the non-smart version.

Why bother paying anything for a TV Harry? When ours went and having already been a member of Freecycle, we just responded to an ad. and went to pick it up for free.

I use the smart features. Our TV a Panasonic is connected to the internet by an ethernet cable. You can use Youtube on the TV and plug a USB keyboard in. There are dozens of apps built into the TV and more are updated from time to time.
Some of the even better Samsung TVs have web browsers etc. You get a very large screen that way.

Question for anyone please...
have you any idea how to print off saved stock screen lists on the stock screener on Digital Look?.
Got it all set up on the experienced one, do my screen 28/52 stocks etc etc come out but I cant use print preview on Epsom printer as it goes ballistic and overloaded. Think im trying to load live data up.
Then tried print screen paint etc but its a massive job.
Also tried copying it to word and again nearly blows up.
Any idea how I can get the list off I create and print it?.
Any help appreciated.

Have done a bit of research gf, but can't replicate your problem. Instead of using 'Print Page' command, have you tried using the 'Save as' command and try saving in different formats? I think it defaults to UTF-8 format, but might be worth trying some other format which your web browser is offering. Also you can opt to save as only HTML, web page complete and others, so the two drop down boxes within the 'Save as' box might be your best bet. I have tried saving the Stockwatch page here in Paint and have no problem, so don't think it's the HLS streaming which is the problem.

Harry you genious. I need to save it to a html page as above.
Cheers mate.
Screener is actually 1% of being off a 52 week high/break out. Good because the Dig Look platform updates in real time throughout the day. Therefore alerts you to when a stock is nearing a 52 week high.
This usually is only available on premium content in fact I think this is only platform that is a freebie.
Slight problem in that column heads are vertical rather than horizontal but thats not a biggy.
thanks again.
cheers GF.

Just a quick question i have cable internet and a normal broadband connection using AOL on the normal telephone line, the aol has been a bit a hit and miss of late on dropping the signal so after speaking to the support team they think its the inline filter that could be faulty so they are sending me out a new one.
Do they go wrong after 9 months as they seem to think they do or are they talking a load of cr@p.

I've heard the same thing about microfilters going wrong after a while but can't verify if this is true. I had major probs with my normal b/band earlier this year, kept dropping connection, slow speeds etc, and all was fixed by a) having the router / modem next to the master socket and b) never switching it off. I also bought myself a decent modem instead of the cheapo one they supplied.

Mega,
I think it's the standard response given by the monkeys in every broadband suppliers' call centre to blame the microfilter.
Have you removed the faceplate from the main socket and plugged your router into the master outlet which is hidden behind the faceplate?
Having previously spent hours on the phone going through all of the different check routines with Sky, it turned out in my case to be the router that had gone a bit dickey. Do you have a spare router laying around, or can you borrow one to test?

Thanks ladies and gents for your suggestions i will change my router over for another one and give that a try, process of elimination, the only reason i require it working again is the fact that the wife has been allowed home from hospital and she just loves AOL i think its total cr@p myself :-)
