Lift sorted.

jj50 - 18 Feb 2005 09:34 - 1003 of 24230

Congratulations on 1000 Spaceman.

Did you know it was agreed yesterday you should
get compensation for your flight delay - don't
know when it comes into force though!

Morning all!

stockbunny - 18 Feb 2005 09:53 - 1004 of 24230

Important annoucement!
It is the end of life as we know it?
Will civilisation survive such a fundermential shift?
Will the very bedrock of our society's fabric be rocked?
Will anything seem sacred any more?

Yes these important questions are doubtless on the lips of the
great British public following the shocking news in our daily
papers and on breakfast Tv this morning...A debate in Parliment
could well be called for or at least demanded!

Yes, Smarties tubes are to be no more, they are to be in a
hexagonal elongated 'tube' like container,
in a bid to make the brand 'more funky'

It is truly a sad day for all that is close to our hearts

;>)

Spaceman - 18 Feb 2005 10:06 - 1005 of 24230

Just got of the plane at gatwick, made up almost all the delay so no compensation for me ...

stockbunny - 18 Feb 2005 10:07 - 1006 of 24230

Never mind Spacie - better luck next time ;>)

jj50 - 18 Feb 2005 10:22 - 1007 of 24230

Trying to cope with the emotion
of the Smarties tubes - "funky", what
do they know :-(

stockbunny - 18 Feb 2005 10:25 - 1008 of 24230

Exactly JJ
I am in complete shock...
;>)
Wanna danish? :>)

Priscilla - 18 Feb 2005 11:02 - 1009 of 24230

Yep, but admit it girls; Smarties have never been the same since the introduction of those ghastly blue ones.

hilary - 18 Feb 2005 11:10 - 1010 of 24230

Did you know that the red Smarties are made from crushed Red Beetle shells and, if you try to take a tube of Smarties into the US, Immigration officials will remove all the red Smarties from the tube because it's a banned import?

StarFrog - 18 Feb 2005 11:16 - 1011 of 24230

Cochineal - from the Mexican homopterous insect, Dactylopius coccus.

Priscilla - 18 Feb 2005 11:16 - 1012 of 24230

I knew Smarties were a healthfood! At last, proof. You get protein and minerals from red Smarties. And I imagine red beetle shells have a low G.I too.

StarFrog - 18 Feb 2005 11:17 - 1013 of 24230

But they don't use it anymore. Modern day myth. Sorry!

Priscilla - 18 Feb 2005 12:17 - 1014 of 24230

Quick! I'd better sort out a strong 'reviver' for Al. As usual, he's given me a tip which has rocketed today and ....well, guess the rest yourselves. ADC is the nag in question.

Mr Magoo - 18 Feb 2005 12:38 - 1015 of 24230

havent heard of this company before, but looks interesting, might buy some shares

optomistic - 18 Feb 2005 12:39 - 1016 of 24230

Morning Priscilla, whats ya bin bakin today gal?

Priscilla - 18 Feb 2005 12:42 - 1017 of 24230

Nothing yet, opto. But rummaging through the fridge and fruit bowl suggests an upside-down plum cake with clotted cream. Would that suit you, Sir?
