socs a triumph t r 8.

STORMCALLER - 18 Jul 2004 13:17 - 9990 of 23498

dd,
Fingers crossed for a full recovery then. Always felt bikes were too vulnerable, my father was banged up good on a bike and spent a year in and out of hospital, put me right off.

daves dazzlers - 18 Jul 2004 13:24 - 9991 of 23498

no doubt a risk, theres a lot of oldies getting back in to bikes now, most are sold to over 35 year old guys, they say.i have not had a bike for 14 years now,my first bike was a yamahe fs1e 1981 i think blue it was cost me 472.00 dead,it was restricted to 30 mph,but it did 32 wow ,we tryed all sorts of things to increase the speed, took the pin out the card, swaped exhaust pipes the lot,,,,,,happy days.

STORMCALLER - 18 Jul 2004 13:29 - 9992 of 23498

dd,
If you were doing that you must remember, change plug every 200 miles, change piston every 3 months?? Like most people forgot to back off oil injector from run-in mode and leave plume of blue smoke half a mile behind you, nudged any memories??

daves dazzlers - 18 Jul 2004 13:36 - 9993 of 23498

to right 44 down hill flat out,we used to race honda step through`s 50 cc .then we moved on to 125,i had kawasaki kme 125 ,,,,best bike i ever had, bought it off a copper unrestricted 91 top speed massive rear cog ,it would allmost go up walls,oh it was quick beast,e reg , 900 pound .

daves dazzlers - 18 Jul 2004 13:40 - 9994 of 23498

we sound like a right pair of sado`s . that kmx ,could allmost keep up with rd 250,and it would burn super dreams 250 all day.
thing we got up to ,would`nt be allowed today.

STORMCALLER - 18 Jul 2004 13:47 - 9995 of 23498

dd,
Be positive, if you hadn't got all that to look back on you wouldn't be old enough to be "treating yourself more", can't have it both ways.

daves dazzlers - 18 Jul 2004 13:49 - 9996 of 23498

where you in to bikes.

STORMCALLER - 18 Jul 2004 13:56 - 9997 of 23498

Not really, as mentioned above, and I was always more into cars anyway, my sense of balance suffices to ensure I don't fall off cars, not sure it would be good enough to achieve the same on a bike.

daves dazzlers - 18 Jul 2004 13:59 - 9998 of 23498

whats it like in red kens land today, all those charges and bus lanes,i dont no how the people hack it .

STORMCALLER - 18 Jul 2004 14:09 - 9999 of 23498

dd,
Weather is not too bad, the only thing they haven't managed to **ck-up, but I am sure they are working on it. Latest stunt is to refurbish roads at great expense, then shut them! Many four-lane roads are sprouting unused cycle-lanes as a means of constricting the traffic to one lane either way, then they say there is a congestion problem!! A recent trend has been to replace bus-stop lay-bys with pavements extended outwards, to prevent traffic passing the bus while it is picking up and letting off passengers. If you were to write this stuff for a tv comedy it would be thrown out as too stupid and unrealistic.

daves dazzlers - 18 Jul 2004 14:13 - 10000 of 23498

i dont no,it sounds daft ,they say these new found idear`s are going to come to all the major city`s soon ,hope not.
i understand the traffic problems we have, but there has to be other ways around it.

STORMCALLER - 18 Jul 2004 14:17 - 10002 of 23498

dd,
It is simple really, all you need is an administration that has a deep-seated desire to destroy the town / city you live in and you will have the same as us. I would be more than happy to lend you ours on a permanent basis.

daves dazzlers - 18 Jul 2004 14:17 - 10003 of 23498

i am being told by the leader of the house ,to select my close to put in the suitcase,so i will have to do what she says or else,i will post later.
i will try and fine a internet station of cafe in the week to post . later.
