Gives an apartment plus double garage with scope for 2 beds in roof space; we'll let the apartment, adapted for the diabled, for self-catering (outside Rye and a super place to visit - hint! hint!) plus provide for family visits. bos: absolutely right: that RSN, which must have been agreed by ASDA, shows them in the driving seat. We need to remember that they have handled the big boys like BT, presumably, before and so are not fazed by big numbers or big heads!

evening all. a little calmer now. wow! what a week so far. can it get any better? no idea. cant see any more news until the prelims now, unless seo have got other deals lined up. i dont really have anything else to add that hasnt already been said. although nothing is signed i get the feeling that the only thing that can balls everything up is seo themselves. so far so good.

SEO a buy in shares mag today. Another blue day??

from this is money today, all press exposure helps.

Another 46m Stanelco shares changed hands and the close was 2⅞p up at 14⅞p. It has granted supermarket Asda a 60-day option period for both parties to reach an agreement on access to its sealing technology for food retailing the UK and Ireland.


Taking advantage of the current strength of its share price, Stanelco also placed 38m shares at 12⅞p raising 4.8m for working capital

Asda cites the case of one supplier which produces 1m trays of meat per week and typically receives 1,800 complaints. Handling all this work creates a serious cost.

Stanelco races on Asda deal 09/02/2005 4:30:00 PM

LONDON (ShareCast) - Stanelco is proving to be an impressive play for its investors as further information regarding its deal with Asda saw it race even further ahead today.

The packaging specialist has granted Asda a 60 day option period during which the two companies will seek to reach agreement regarding Asda's access to Stanelco's new food packaging sealing technology

Stanelco said the agreement would include details of the duration of any exclusivity agreement with the number two supermarket player.

Other news today was a placing by KBC Peel Hunt of 38m ordinary shares at a price of 12.8p per share, well above yesterday’s 12.0p closing price, to raise about 4.8m, to be used for working capital for current development projects.

Stanelco announced yesterday that results of its trials with Asda had proved very successful, which in turn led to today’s option period with Asda.

Stanelco said a wide range of fresh food products sealed with its technology have been taken to the end of customer life with exceptional results in relation to odour, visual and taste of both raw and cooked foods.

The shares have clocked up impressive gains, rising nearly 150% in the last month alone.

100% compostable packaging launched in UK

Compak is using Novamonts starch-based material.

8 February 2005 A UK food company released a food range packaged in 100% compostable packaging last week.

Organic Farm Foods locally sourced range is packaged in Novamonts starch-based material Mater-bi that is converted by Herefordshire-based Compak (Packaging).

Compak director Dave Holbourn said: What makes the Local Farm Series brand truly unique is that even though we are printing seven colour images on bags and labels, we are still producing packaging that totally breaks down in [domestic compost in] less than 12 weeks.

He said: Everything, including the tiny constituent parts such as sticky tape and display labels, is made from plant-based ingredients and will end up as compost in the 12-week period.

Five lines are available swedes, carrots, leeks, potatoes in 2.5 and 5kg packs but the range will be expanded to about 17 lines.

The food range is available in some Waitrose stores in Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire
