In the US tonight, after a volatile session that saw the Dow first fall 70 points and
then rise by 80 points, the DJIA was last down 14 points at 12,099.
The S&P 500 fell 6 points to 1,380, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 15 points
to 2,352.
In Asia today, the Hang Seng ended the morning up 295.54 points at 18,960.42,
while the Nikkei closed up 202.25 points at 16,844.50.
New York Mercantile Exchange's main contract, light sweet crude for delivery in
April, was up 7 cents at $60.14 a barrel from $60.07 in late trading in the US
overnight.
