Hi Greystone - disappointed to note that all the usual links you so kindly put on this thread are missing today. Any reason why? I make use of them every day.

Master RSI - 02 Oct 2008 10:05 - 5 of 22

Pond Life

Though the Question is not for me I suspect " Kyoto " the one posting the links in the past is busy

You will find mos of the links as news at the TOP of the page

Snip - 02 Oct 2008 10:13 - 6 of 22

kyoto is a real star posting the links as he does. I appreciate what he does very much

I used to post a lot on the traders thread but have lost the spark re posting and am just happy to potter these days, mind you I do have my tin hat on and have taken my seasick pills

The pot I look after is in a sipp and is pretty substantial. I did spread it around before all this stomach churning stuff and the stocks part is all in good ftse companies, so it is "to have and to hold" with them. I daren`t look at the portfolio on some days lately .......but have just looked and it is still above my start point although a long way down from the max value last year

Anthony Bolton says that he has started buying so fingers crossed

Pond Life - 02 Oct 2008 11:41 - 9 of 22

You're right Master RSI - it is Kyoto of course.

Snip - snap! I am so far down this year I could despair. I am very long on oilers, so I have had a right battering. I bought property stcoks a couple of months ago thinking that the worst was over - wrong again. Only success I have had this year is in trading banks, especially LLOY, although I have had a couple of lucky escapes. I missed the latest turn on LLOY - finger hovered over the button at 295 - but did I buy? Nope! Dope! Only 3k shares, but it would have made 2k in 24 hours. Next time maybe.
This time next year Rodney.......
