Morning all. FTSE being called about flat.

Still sitting in my short term LLOY long. I had expected it to bounce by now but no success yet. Maybe after the decision yesterday on Brexit commons vote things will look a little brighter

Skinny,

Would you put "good" in front of "morning"?

It might give me some hope!

Markets looking a little better for you Fred.

Not sure what this afternoon is going to bring. Volume seems low on a lot of stocks I'm watching despite the good retail sales figures in UK, well received messages from ECB and good US retail sales.

I don't know whether this means volume is going to kick in later and drive the markets higher or whether it will be a damp squib.

CC,

A little better.

But, up until Jan, I was doing well.

The last 5.5 months have been like a Yoyo.

Also, would like to rebalance my holdings as I have 2 or 3 which are too large against the rest of the portfolio.

Again, not sure where to put ill-gotten gains.

Again no idea whether there is going to be a revaluation of my holdings against "world" economies or "UK's".

It feels a little like watching paint dry at the moment.

Hi Fred,

Sorry to hear. If it's any consolation my year has been very frustrating too.

I feel completely out of alignment with the general market. Although that is not unusual for me it is unusual for it to go for months (or years).

It's clear the market is really worried about Brexit and the economy. However to be blunt the figures I'm reading seem OK. Not brilliant but certainly OK.

The economy continues to repair itself but it's like the market hasn't noticed. Everything is risk off at the moment and debt or gearing is bad. These are the same analysts who are usually in the place of debt is good.

Also MIFID II is doing my head in on my smaller cap holdings.

I am 100% invested at the moment and I'm sure the fundamentals are going to start to outweigh the doom and gloom in the next year.

Good morning!

Triple witching today. Which used to be exciting 10 years ago and "money for nothing" but now is usually a complete washout.
