Will this increase or decrease the likelihood of terrorist actions in America, Europe and the rest of the world?
If you were a member of a family murdered in this conflict, would you be seeking revenge?
Should Tzipi Livni and Ehud Olmert, be tried for war crimes if or when this conflict comes to an end?
What will the price of oil be in 4 weeks time?

MN,
I have been an almost life long atheist, but never stood against God.
Shall I start a thread on religion.
Could be very interesting.
Always interested how "beliefs" influence "actions".

personally, i find it more interesting to watch how bullshit baffles brains, though age and guile tend to win every time

I have an idea for a new moderators censure for certain posters. Change the poster's features so that his post are only visible to himself. He will then think he is being ignored!

Multiple threads have been created and for the sake of other members of the Bb I have removed them. If Fred1new wants to create more on the same subject feel free to do so and am happy to remove his ability to post anymore on the BBs.
The Bbs were designed to be about Stocks and shares not political debate, dont push your luck !!

Bullshare - Bravo! There is enough doom and gloom to worry about without Fred creating more.

Is it ok to post recipes, though?
The recipe threads are amongst the best on the board.
If you remove fred's ability to post any longer I shall nominate you for the Nobel Peace Prize, Mike.

You can't be a life-long atheist till you're dead..........then you can be sure you were a life-long atheist.
Typical fred wooliness of thought :)

Fred
If you are still a member of this BB, you need to understand a few things. Firstly there is no freedom of speech here nor should there be. This is a BB that belongs to a company and they decide what appears on here. You are clealy mistaking standing at speakers corner and posting on here. And by the way there is no complete freedom of speech even at speakers corner.

but there's more freedom of speech if you turn off the mic and use a gag

NM.
I rejected the concept of a god at a very early age and doubt that I will resume the belief in such.
(However, my wife has threatened me with a Christian burial. Even though she is a woman that god would fear, I have circumvented the problem, by putting a clause in my will.)
If Sargant the the one I think you mean? It confirms my suspicions! 8-)
Also, if he is, I have had dealings with one of his unfortunate products.
I have tried to the reason for, and the way in which beliefs are formed and blindly enacted. Also, how powerful beliefs and useful they can be, and yet they are often transient.
Interesting area, often used by con artists..
Ps.
I have a database, which has over 2,500 recipes collected over the years.
Seems obsessional, but I am just moderately paranoid.

The freedom is only for some to be abusive?
Interesting?

If you were more circumspect in the content of your posts then there wouldn't be a problem. To some extent this BB is self policing and in extremis there are moderators. You came up against the self policing part quite quickly and now you are at the threshold of the moderator part. Common sense should dictate a change in behaviour.

"I have a database, which has over 2,500 recipes collected over the years.

You could try cooking the recipes, rather than just collecting them which is more of an Obsessional Compulsive Disorder.
Together with your self-admitted paranoia, you may just be trying to elicit sympathy.
If you stop constantly attacking Israel as being the epitome of evil and were to simply debate and exchange views in a non-confrontational, non-aggressive, non- hate filled manner, then I'm sure you would get divergent but reasonable debate.
Stop being nasty and people won't be nasty back.
I'll offer you the hand of peace - no that's too extreme - first a cease fire, then a period of non-aggression, then an olive branch, then even shake hands and eventually live in peace.
Just like Israel and what one day will be Palestine.
PS Wow ! Even Haystack is posting good sense ! ;)

A database of 2,500 recipes???
Normal people just have a couple of cookbooks. With the emphasis on normal!

Hilary,
I read quite quickly and have been interested in food for over 55 years.
Also, have a very extensive library on various subjects.
Surprising, what you learn in that period.
