THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Hays.

Refer you back to your previous posting.

But you must hold up your mates in this "hokey cokey" government.

Gov does it for you.

Left foot in and left foot out, hold on to Cameron he is the best chancer you have.

This coalition is becoming a laughing stock.

"At least the labour government built some decent hospitals to replace the dilapidated institutions left by the tories, who squandered the cash from the North Sea Exploration of Oil and gas."

Yes they did Fred, but at what cost?

One of many similar articles = Hospitals 'struggling with NHS mortgage repayments'

Paying off the "NHS mortgage" is putting so much pressure on the system in England that the future of some hospitals is at risk, ministers say. -

how prophetic.

cynic - 07 Feb 2013 20:22 - 21103 of 81564

Fred1new - 07 Feb 2013 22:45 - 21107 of 81564

3m

But close to the cons hearts.

======

Cynic,

Not so. Just recognise rubbish, when I see it.

Compared with the incompetent bunch in control at the moment I admit to be being left of centre.

-------

Skinny,

At the time of the financing of the building by PFIs and the future problems condemned the method of financing the necessary institutions.

Also, condemned the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and the waste of lives and money which would be involved.

Which could have be spent more "wisely".

Also, remember condemnation and attempts of mockery for me forecasting the result.

Also, recall my reluctance regarding Libya.

Personally, I would scrap the thoughts of Aircraft Carriers, etc.

It is time to cut these expenses and accept that we are a little nation trying to punch above its weight.

But "health care", social services are for the benefit of the Nation as a whole, as is having "decent" judiciary and police service etc.

Worth paying for.

And so it begins....

Is a son of Richard III buried in Eastwell in Kent?

Following the discovery of the final resting place of Richard III in Leicester, there are calls for similar work to be carried out to determine if his illegitimate son is buried in a Kent churchyard.

.....

Fred1new - 08 Feb 2013 08:27 - 21115 of 81564

Tanker,

Read some second WW2 history.

You will find that the Britain and Allies betrayed Poland and many of the countries which ended up behind the Iron Curtain.

(There were reasons for doing so.)

Fred1new - 08 Feb 2013 08:27 - 21116 of 81564

merely as an interesting aside, it was the poles who had a key role in supplying the crypto-analytical info that opened up the enigma machine codes - whatever hollywood's version tried to make out!
