VANE MINERALS, A Cheaper And Lower Risk Route Into The Uranium Market. (VML)

goldfinger - 08 Mar 2005 09:20

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE..

COMPANY WEB SITE.........

http://www.vaneminerals.com/

THE PRICE OF URANIUM IS GOING BALISTIC...

The uranium spot price hasn't seen a down month since 2001. For years now, uranium producers have met just 60% of total annual demand - the other 40% coming from government stockpiles and decommissioned nuclear warheads. This can go on for only so long.

The tightness of supply comes at a time of atomic resurgence. Three large-scale factors have turned the tide in favour of nuclear energy:
geopolitics, global warming and developing world growth.

Analysts are debating over wether the SP of Uranium increase will be three fold within 2007?.

Looks like to me, the best play on the UK market for Uranium and it hasnt gotten away yet like the other two ZBA Zareba and URA Uranium which have multi bagged. Its also in a position to fund its development with a new gold mine producing. Ive added twice this morning and think this one could be very big. Heres the announcement...........

Vane Minerals PLC
07 March 2005

VANE Minerals plc (AIM: VML)

VANE Announces Diversification Into Uranium Exploration And Development

Vane Minerals ('VANE' or 'the Company') announces that it is diversifying its
current project portfolio by entering into the uranium exploration and
development business.

To date 7 uranium targets have been successfully claimed by the Company and 28
further properties have been identified and are under development. VANE expects
to finalise its property position by the end of the first quarter 2005. The
Company is targeting uranium projects that are either at, or near, resource
stage or targets that exhibit similar surface features to mines with past
production, but that have not yet been evaluated for the presence of uranium.

The 35 properties identified are located within a uranium district with
significant past production as well as significant resources. Due to the
current uranium market conditions, we prefer to not identify the location until
we complete our property position. Previous drilling data available for some of
the 7 properties successfully claimed indicate grade intersects from 0.34 up to
1.78% U3O8.

VANE has incorporated a 100% owned subsidiary to hold its uranium properties and
has also successfully recruited a uranium geologist, Kristopher K. Hefton B.Sc.,
who has considerable experience in this field and is a great addition to the
VANE team. Mr. Hefton has worked with VANE's exploration team in the past during
his time at Freeport McMoran, and he has also worked for Barrick Gold
Corporation, Homestake Mining Company and Energy Fuels Nuclear Inc.

Michael Spriggs, Chairman of VANE, commented, 'We are delighted to announce the
addition of these uranium assets to the VANE portfolio and will update the
market with more substantial details once further properties have been claimed.
The uranium market has been strong for some time now, reflecting a long-term
forecast supply shortage and the growing recognition that nuclear energy offers
a cleaner and more energy efficient fuel source. Through our extensive network,
we have identified some quality projects and look forward to releasing further
details when appropriate.'

This stock has a lot going for it, let's hope that the market makers ajust the sp accordingly,...: profitable goldmine in Mexico and uranium potential in a stable country like the USA !

lets see some volume, please!

If its going up like this on small volume it will take of with a bit of good news as we have seen before 6p-8p in one day is not out of the question.

From World Mining Stocks.

IF YOU want to value VANE Minerals it has to be as an exploration company not as a producer, as Diablito - the companys gold/silver mine in Mexico - was never meant to be a company-maker, just a cash generator for exploration, says commercial director Matthew Idiens. It gives the company a considerable advantage in these volatile equity markets of being an exploration company with cash flow, meaning the company will only return to the market for additional funding on good news. The companys focus is on exploring and in this department it has one of the best teams in the business. With a uranium portfolio of high grade breccia pipes and targets, and lower grade stratabound prospects all within the highly prospective Colorado Plateau, the company has managed to enlist the services of experienced uranium geologist Kristopher Hefton in late 2004. All our uranium team have a very good track record, Mr Idiens says, and its extraordinary to find someone so young with Kris Heftons experience. In fact, Mr Hefton spent nine years in the US with the uranium producer Energy Fuels Nuclear mostly exploring the same mineral systems that VANE is looking at today. The immediate priority on a uranium portfolio which covers Northern Arizona, Utah and New Mexico is to keep drilling, says Mr Hefton. We need to drill as much as we can, weather permitting. The rest of the pipe targets need to be drilled to see if they are indeed pipes and to see whether they contain sufficient grades of uranium. Breccia pipes are amongst the highest grade deposit in the US and generally contain between 1Mlb and 5Mlb of yellowcake grading around 1% U3O8. In addition to its pipe targets, the company also has the North Alice Extension in Utah which adjoins the North Alice Mine which was mined by Homestake. While Homestake itself drilled a number of holes on the extension, the plan is to re-drill and keep drilling in order to come up with an NI 43-101 resource statement by the second half of this year. Other key targets for the company are the Happy Jack Mine and the North Wash Property in south eastern Utah, which have combined existing drill indicated resources of 320,000lb of U3O8, and the Happy Jack Mine offers near-term production potential. Upon the initial evaluation of the property weve identified nine target areas based on historic holes with ore grade intercepts, says Mr Hefton. Were going into these areas and offsetting the holes to try and find a resource that we can put into production. With US$12 million in the bank after a successful fund-raising in December, the company is well placed to progress the exploration targets as well as acquiring additional properties which look to have the right potential. The Diablito Mine, where production began in Q3 2005, is currently generating around US$200,000/month

Up on small volume again.

driver - 03 Mar 2008 12:02 - 2150 of 2220

I don't get the downward sp after this update investors or the mm's do not have a clue into U exploration companies by the looks of it. I am very happy with the progress so far we used to be pleased with 39 holes now we have got Permits approved for further 75 drill holes on North Alice Extension and The Company has submitted the Notice of Intent to drill up to 100 new exploration holes.

Looks like a very good opp to me I will be topping up again.

A good read link from the other side.

Uranium Mining in ArizonaHigh Grade and Safe

The highest-grade uranium deposits in the United States (average grade close to 1%) occur in a breccia pipe environment in northwestern Arizona. In fact, these deposits are higher grade than most uranium deposits elsewhere in the world, with the exception of the Canadian

This looks cheap considering its potential.

driver - 03 Mar 2008 16:21 - 2156 of 2220

From the above link

(I.W. Mathisen, oral commun., 1990). Although these uranium grades are dwarfed by those of the Athabasca Basin unconformity deposits in Canada, it is significant that (1) the breccia pipe mining costs are significantly less for the Arizona deposits, and (2) these ore grades of 0.4-1% are as high or higher than any other global uranium-deposit type.

This needs a major mining company to come in and help...a VML farm out might be a solution !

aldwickk - 17 Mar 2008 08:19 - 2159 of 2220

I don't agree , not while it is being funded by their gold & silver production and another uranium bull market not far off. And we still have lot of drill results to come.

driver - 17 Mar 2008 08:57 - 2160 of 2220

rf
As aldwickk says this doesnt need any help when the sp went to 30+p VML only had 39 pipes in its sights now it has 200 the exploration all funded from its own Gold and Silver mine with Gold at $1000 there is no problem VML is a bit slow but that is not uncommon with this type of stock a good one to accumulate. There will be a return to Uranium high prices with some gurus seeing U prices going as much as $500 lb
