THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

TANKER - 26 Feb 2013 11:40 - 21844 of 81564

cynic - 26 Feb 2013 11:40 - 21845 of 81564

you really are a totally laughable idiot ..... never mind; it doesn't worry me one iota that your grasp and knowledge of history could be written on a toenail clipping

Fred1new - 26 Feb 2013 11:40 - 21846 of 81564

Tanker,

Welcome back.

I wouldn't describe Manuel in that way, but understand your sentiment.

cynic - 26 Feb 2013 11:41 - 21847 of 81564

Haystack - 26 Feb 2013 11:43 - 21848 of 81564

Tanker's posts get more and more bizzare.

TANKER - 26 Feb 2013 11:45 - 21849 of 81564

TANKER - 26 Feb 2013 11:47 - 21850 of 81564

fred what is your view on the italian vote .a third want out of the eu

Laurenrose - 26 Feb 2013 11:52 - 21851 of 81564

well said tanks

cynic - 26 Feb 2013 11:52 - 21852 of 81564

italy has just acquired itself, at least for now, the non-government they deserve ..... that's what happens when people think it's a good wheeze and jape to vote for the Monster Raving Loony Party in a general election

if 1/3 want out of EU, does that not mean that 2/3 want to stay in - aka the great majority?

TANKER - 26 Feb 2013 11:58 - 21853 of 81564

the italian election was not about staying in he EU but this morning a poll
said 65% would vote to come out of th euro

Haystack - 26 Feb 2013 12:01 - 21854 of 81564

Italy has a constitution designed by the allies after the war. It is designed to prevent a dictator taking over. It is sinilar to the German's system. The result is coalitions almost every time. Despite Burlesconi's defects, he did represent a stronger government, which Italy needs. Italy has had an average of one government per year since the war with two lasting 11 days each. This election is unworkable. It will be new elections very soon.

Chris Carson - 26 Feb 2013 12:01 - 21855 of 81564

TANK - fred what is your view? FFS you are asking a red . Get a grip mate, thought maybe the plight of your brother might have given you a grip on reality, obviously not :O)

cynic - 26 Feb 2013 12:06 - 21856 of 81564

get your brain in gear MrT - always assuming there is something between the ears to register ..... read your own post 21852!

25% of the voters also thought it a sensible thing to do to vote for the Monster Raving Loony Party - tells you plenty

Haystack - 26 Feb 2013 12:08 - 21857 of 81564

I have a lot of Italian friends and almost every one voted Burlesconi. The people see him as a strong leader. The government has accepted that their constitution has to change. Weak governments prevent needed legislation from being passed.

Burlesconi has tried to make some infrastructure improvements such a new tunnel under the Alps and bridge across the straights of Messina to Sicily. Each time a new coalition comes in they cancel all the projects. When Burlesconi gets in again he starts them again.

Fred1new - 26 Feb 2013 12:13 - 21858 of 81564

Manuel.

That's democracy for you.

Hays,

Says a bit about your choice of friends.
