Good morning all. A bad day for me yesterday as a companion of 18 years died. Since he was single, I suppose I shall have to cough up for his cremation as he left no will. But then, not many cats do, do they? Her-indoors is a bit upset as I am too heavy to sit on her lap, like what he did.

Oh dear, how sad, never mind. Life goes on and today has dawned a delicate shade of blue in my portfolio. Such a rare occurrence deserves a celebration so I shall bring in some extra special sherry trifle. Don't eat too much of it, I won't be responsible for doctors' bills or charges of DWI.

Spaceman - 30 Jul 2008 08:29 - 22079 of 24230

Morning all, nice and sunny on Sevenoaks. Any chance of a warm Danish with a Latte and a copy of the Gaurdian out on the sun deck please?

Spaceman - 30 Jul 2008 08:34 - 22080 of 24230

Socs sorry to hear that your cat died intestate, I found myself surprisingly upset when ours died some years ago even though I was greatly relieved that by dying my cat had relieved me of the horrendous costs of vets fees.

Perhaps if you were to lose some weight you wife may let you cuddle up on her lap in place of moggy?
