Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

grannyboy - 23 May 2016 15:42 - 2201 of 12628

Besides ALL of us paying for this kind of thing, its mainly aimed at fred(2165)

EU students leave the UK taxpayers 89 million pounds bill by fleeing
without paying tuition fee's, more then 10,000 return home with unpaid
tuition fees, admitted by the Student Loan Company.

Yes you can imagine them all laughing their little socks off at the generosity
of the UK taxpaying public, along with all the other immigrants claiming
benefits they've never had to contribute to..

cynic - 23 May 2016 15:44 - 2202 of 12628

how much is owed to NHS by o'seas health tourists who "forget" to settle up?

grannyboy - 23 May 2016 15:53 - 2203 of 12628

I wonder if the Austrian Green party gets funding from the EU like
the UK one does?

cynic that would be an ongoing guesstimate, the last I heard it was
around the 750 million pound mark, but who knows, anyone can go to
hospital and get treatment with no questions asked.

jimmy b - 23 May 2016 15:59 - 2204 of 12628

cynic ,settle up ?
i told the story of my American friend on here ,foreigners don't have to settle up .

VICTIM - 23 May 2016 16:01 - 2205 of 12628

Fred1new - 23 May 2016 16:20 - 2206 of 12628

Look at the last polls and place your bets.

There is something to be said for Gordon Brown's one liner!

=--=-=-==-

VICTIM - 23 May 2016 16:24 - 2207 of 12628

You said you could do without the polls . Make your mind up .

VICTIM - 23 May 2016 16:25 - 2208 of 12628

VICTIM - 23 May 2016 16:27 - 2210 of 12628

Freda you hum it and I'll play it .

Fred1new - 23 May 2016 16:29 - 2211 of 12628

Vicky,

Sounds like a reference to the little exiters.

Good to see the Austrians has shown some sense.

Pity Dumbo and his mate may have to look for exile in Turkey.

VICTIM - 23 May 2016 16:31 - 2212 of 12628

Stuff that .

poo bear - 23 May 2016 16:32 - 2213 of 12628

fred, your comments are juvenile bullying, much like Cameron's and Osborne's.

Have you tried to have an adult discussion with anyone here or is it too much for you as well?

jimmy b - 23 May 2016 16:50 - 2214 of 12628

Fred's brain is pickled by years of alcohol abuse .

Don't worry he's not bullying anyone on here ,just about everybody thinks he's a bit soft in the head.

aldwickk - 23 May 2016 16:57 - 2215 of 12628

He keeps hearing voices in his head from someone called Stan , sometimes he finds himself posting as Stan

Fred1new - 23 May 2016 17:32 - 2216 of 12628

I agree with you Dumbo.

Have you placed you bet on an exit vote or are you just huffing and puffing as usual?

But you must admit Cameron is winning hands down and Foxy, IBS, and the governor
are looking very iffy.

-=-==-=-=

Poo Bear,

My remarks are hardly "bullying".

Be careful, or I will blow on you.

jimmy b - 23 May 2016 17:54 - 2217 of 12628

Oh dear Fred that last line calls for one of these.

required field - 23 May 2016 21:13 - 2218 of 12628

Some of the political lot are on about how Britain will do badly if we leave......: nonsense !.....there will be for a short period some turmoil.....if the pound drops back : our exporters will thrive !.....if you have a product/service that people overseas want : it will sell/you will be able to provide that service regardless of belonging to the great corruptive trough that is the EU !.....the common market needs reforming without all these ridiculous deals about subsidising/freedom of movement for everybody......the UK cannot accommodate and should not house all these (I shall call them) unfortunate people from the east/Africa/middle east and further afield......they have their own customs/habits/religions ...and it is intolerable to the native population of these shores that they/we/I should have to adapt to these peoples dodgy ways of living/behaving !......I implore the reasonable people of the United Kingdom to reject this unacceptable demand from the EU !....

Fred1new - 24 May 2016 09:01 - 2219 of 12628

Tory party coming to their senses.

The majority of older voters, Conservative supporters and men are now backing the campaign to stay in the EU following a collapse in support for Brexit, a new exclusive poll for the Telegraph shows.

The poll finds that the Remain campaign now has a 13-point lead with just one month until the referendum.

The latest ORB poll puts Remain on 55 per cent and Leave trailing on 42 per cent, among people who definitely intend to vote.

Amongst all voters, the Remain campaign now has a 20-point lead, with 58 per cent of voters saying they back the pro-EU campaign.
