MEDICAL MARKETING, A Speculative Punt That Might Reap Rich Rewards (MMG)

goldfinger - 01 Sep 2004 15:33

This ones a heck of a specualive investment but it seems that the institutions are willing to stomp up the cash to back it in the long term.

Heres the latest news from Killik stocbrokers on the company..........

MEDICAL MARKETING Joint Venture

We recently highlighted Medical Marketing (MMG) as worthy of attention. The company, in which I have a personal share holding, has this morning announced the formation of a joint venture, Genvax, to develop a novel DNA vaccine platform technology.

Human trials have been underway since 2001 in areas such as Lymphoma and Myeloma but the technology has broad applications in cancer, viral and bacterial infections (hence the term platform). The technology works on boosting the immune system by teaching it to identify hard to recognise cancer proteins as foreign and destroy them. Early results from the 25 patient trial in lymphoma are encouraging and evaluation of the result is expected by March 2005. Successful results should mean big pharmaceutical groups will start to take financial and commercial interests around that time.

This looks to be the first of a series of announcements due from Medical Marketing as it has a range of predominantly cancer trials moving into the clinical stage. (news flow could push the price higher)

The stock has made good progress in recent sessions up to the mid-80p level where the company is valued at just under 40 million. ENDS.

Please DYOR

cheers GF.

Could be a 10 bagger from here seawall I am holding now for many years but 2007 promises some exciting action from the next stage of the Ruthenium drugs under development plus the Dna vaccis so I would be a buyer and a seller at this time.
My share of 2007. watch this space.

mitzy - 09 Jan 2007 10:36 - 2252 of 2444

I see no reason why the share price should fall from here.

Good to see a bit of action again with MMG. This is, in my opinion, one of the best risk/reward plays on the market today. It is only a matter of time before the market wakes up and realises the potential of this share, and a re-rating takes place.

The management have been going about their work dilligently for a couple of years, and the foundations are in place for what will surely be a successful future. They have concentrated on the development of the drug therapies, but they have also been very careful to select a strong management team who are capable of running a Company like MMG successfully.

The good thing about the continuing low share price, is that I have been able to add to my holdings steadily over the last few months, and I intend to keep adding as long as the share price remains below about 5.....

When the re-rating happens, it will leave 5 far behind, and the patient will be well rewarded.

All IMHO of course, no advice intended.

Your not wrong there neil it should be rerated any time now its just that it is most annoying that the analysts always overlook the achievments of DB and his staff thankfully there are some who know the scale of their success.

From Evil K today...

I hear that more good news is on the way from Medical Marketing (MMG). The stock has managed to escape the curse of a Michael Walters endorsement and I am told it is going up.
