Cybit the best telematics play (CYH)

Still Waiting - 21 Sep 2003 22:33

The chart for this stock says it all.

The company is quickly becoming a real gem in the telematics field, over the last month the co. has announced re-seller contracts which will bring in min. 2m or >30% of last years T/O alone.

The company is already experiencing massive organic growth so the co. should be profitable now following last years 500k loss.

The co. has approx. 6m cash and is in one of the hottest growth areas at the moment.

With a market cap. of 25m this will be re-rated x2/3 minimum within the next 6-12 months IMHO.

MM buys went through on Friday with T/O continuing to build, one to put on your monitor...

Nitefly - 14 Sep 2004 11:37 - 2341 of 3104

G12 - I do, even though it's very frustrating at times;) - The MM's leave you feeling a bit like the preverbial rag doll at times. I have little doubt it will do the right thing though, all it's going to cost is some time. I have several investments playing their little games but my patience will prevail.

good luck all

Cybit doubles number of Accredited Resellers with more set to follow

Telematics provider sets sights on capturing small to medium fleet market with solutions available from as little as 20 per vehicle per month
New modular version of Cybit's Fleetstar-Online telematics technology
supports full range of Reseller requirements - from entry-level 'reporting-only' offering to more comprehensive solutions
Cybit, the UK's leading online telematics service provider, has announced
that it has doubled its number of Accredited Resellers in the last month.
More are set to follow as Cybit focuses on working with resellers to capture
the small to medium sized fleet sector through a new modular version of its
Fleetstar-Online technology platform. This latest generation of Fleetstar-Online enables channel partners to offer a scalable solution with value added functions such as Smartnav intelligent navigation and an entry-level 'reporting-only' solution with prices starting from around 20 per month.

Cybit has quickly established itself as the market leader for Internet-based
telematics-enabled fleet management solutions. The latest release of
Fleetstar-Online introduces a unique modular approach to fleet management,
allowing smaller businesses access to industry leading technology that was
previously available only to major enterprises. In the last month Cybit has
increased its reseller coverage from seven outlets to 16, with several more
resellers due to come on line before the end of September. Each of Cybit's
newly Accredited Resellers has passed through a stringent selection and
training process and will operate in predetermined territories.

"Our growing reseller channel provides access to a large section of the market previously unavailable to us via our traditional channels to market. This is a significant step for Cybit and means we are clearly on track towards achieving our aggressive reseller recruitment goals by the end of the financial year," commented Ian Walmsley, Director of Partnerships. "We are focused on recruiting forward thinking channel partners who have the resources and commitment to provide customers with the significant return-on-investment that Cybit's scalable telematics solutions offer."

One reseller to benefit from its partnership with Cybit is Supreme Services,
a well-established auto electrical specialist in the North West. Martin Stretch from Supreme Services commented: "The introduction of Cybit's range of telematics solutions to our product portfolio has enabled us to retain existing customers, acquire new business and generate significant revenues with attractive margins."

Resellers such as Supreme Services will also be able to take advantage of
Fleetstar-Online's broad range of functionality and incremental upgrade
capability. Working with Cybit and its new Fleetstar-Online release provides
resellers with both significant service differentiation and upsell opportunities, giving them the flexibility to work even more closely with customers and provide them with further telematics capabilities as business requirements evolve and develop.

So... what are we waiting for now then?

Nice rise early in the week but now a progressive fall-back.

Waiting sux!

rampage - 17 Sep 2004 09:46 - 2344 of 3104

MillionDollarMan
It sure does
How much would you stand to gain when (and I mean when) CYH reaches 10p?
How long would it take you to earn that in the daily grind?
The only difference is, that with your CYH shares you dont have to work for it !!
Patience will be rewarded

MillionDollarMan - 17 Sep 2004 13:24 - 2345 of 3104

rampage: I totally agree, patience pays! Its just the part inbetween I hate ;)

Anyway, the tables have turned and its on its way up!

>How much would you stand to gain when (and I mean when) CYH reaches 10p?

Many many k's 8) - I wouldn't be going hungry this winter... thats for sure!

skids - 17 Sep 2004 14:54 - 2346 of 3104

I can't see CYH getting to 10p in the next 5 years personally!? Don't get me wrong, I am a holder, but margins are small and progress hasn't been quick. 4/5p is the initial target for end of 2005 in my book.

Kivver - 17 Sep 2004 15:59 - 2347 of 3104

I agree skids, and that would be a nice tick up!!

skids - 17 Sep 2004 16:51 - 2348 of 3104

yep, x2/x3 your money isn't a bad investment.

Pumacat - 18 Sep 2004 14:02 - 2349 of 3104

While I do sadly have to accept the cautious outlook I am hoping as I think we all are that the reseller program gains momentum (more likley as cyh have doubled their number of resellers and are concentrating on a more niche market).

If it does I think we may see some further significant growth in the share within the next 6 months.

Dont know, I hope so.

Still Waiting - 22 Sep 2004 09:53 - 2350 of 3104

Have now got bored with this stock, have decided to switch to PMG which is breaking out, earns the same amount of profit as CYH but only has a market cap of 2m.

I may be back when NU deal gets announced.

Pumacat - 24 Sep 2004 08:10 - 2351 of 3104

at last it would appear that there is some support for this share!

Pumacat - 24 Sep 2004 16:19 - 2352 of 3104

silly me spoke too soon!

Kivver - 24 Sep 2004 16:35 - 2353 of 3104

get used to it with this share, a medium to long term bet imho.

skids - 30 Sep 2004 09:12 - 2354 of 3104

I'm surprised no one else has posted on here yet!!!! Have you seen the news per chance ladies and gentlemen.

CYBIT HOLDINGS PLC ('CYBIT')

CYBIT ANNOUNCES 3 YEAR PARTNERSHIP
WITH NORWICH UNION INSURANCE

Cybit Holdings PLC is pleased to announce a three year strategic partnership
agreement with the UK's largest insurance company, Norwich Union Insurance
('Norwich Union'). Together they will launch the industry's only
telematics-enabled fleet insurance product, which will offer businesses fixed
price insurance cover over two or three years and a premium rebate when key
performance indicators are achieved.

Under the partnership, Cybit will provide Norwich Union with core telematics
technology to support 'Fleet Telematics' - the industry's only
telematics-enabled fleet insurance product. Norwich Union, the largest fleet
insurer in the UK, will make the new Fleet Telematics offering available to new
and existing Norwich Union customers through their extensive network of
intermediaries.

Cybit's recently launched modular Fleetstar Online (FSOL) telematics technology
provides Norwich Union's fleet customers with access to industry leading
technology that was previously available only to major enterprises.
Organisations, such as Norwich Union, are now able to benefit from Cybit's next
generation telematics platform enabling the easy integration of Cybit telematics
technology with their own applications, bringing solutions to market quickly.

The partnership builds on the success of a series of collaborative risk
management initiatives between the two companies over the last three years, and
more recently a 12-month pilot project.

Richard Horsman, Chief Executive of Cybit, said:

'Cybit has quickly established itself as the market leader for internet-based
telematics-enabled fleet management solutions. The signing of a three year
strategic partnership agreement with the UK's leading fleet insurance provider
is a major achievement, establishing Cybit's firm foothold in this exciting new
market.

Cybit is focused on developing cutting-edge telematics solutions. Our next
generation telematics platform and recently launched modular FSOL solution
provides organisations, such as Norwich Union, with a flexible low entry level
product that is easy to integrate into existing IT infrastructure. We are very
excited about the value this partnership will create for Cybit's shareholders.'

Robert Ledger, Head of Telematics at Norwich Union, said:

'Norwich Union is delighted to announce its agreement with Cybit as part of our
growing telematics capability. As the largest fleet insurer in the UK, it's a
natural step for us to extend our product range in this way. The launch of the
'Fleet Telematics' product affords us the opportunity to utilise and supplement
the learning we have already gained from our innovative 'Pay As You Drive'TM
insurance research programme.'

Hi Skids,

Had these for quite a while and have watched with a long face as the SP has steadily declined. Nice to see some more good news, hopefully the SP can now acclerate and at least get me back to a break-even point.

MillionDollarMan - 30 Sep 2004 11:01 - 2358 of 3104

Finally it goes up on some good news :)

Keep holding guys

skids - 30 Sep 2004 12:14 - 2359 of 3104

ptholden,

Yep, I'm a long termer too. I have no doubt it'll be above the high in due course. NU is a big company, so little CYH will benefit hugely. Perhaps there are even more contracts on the way.... time will tell, but I'm staying put above 5/6p.

skids

ptholden - 30 Sep 2004 12:22 - 2360 of 3104

I believe NU is the biggest car insurer in the UK, so perhaps others will follow where the largest have led and as you say others will sign up. A stream of new contracts will do wonders gor the SP, and like you I am in until similiar or better levels are achieved.
