Nice one Ob.
Hans Christian anderson.......
:-)

The problem with SEO is that we have faith in it.
We believed in starch trays and they F**KED IT UP
we believed in Greenseal and " " " " "
We believed in JV and you guessed it.
We believed in perseco
we belived every line they've sold us........

we now believe that they are somehow, having failed to deliver anything (except heartache and dissapointment), going to manage to sell Bioplast for Plastic bags to all the BIG RETAILERS.
And all this without a word/sniff/sale.

and the worst thing is I'm a believer/sucker.

:-(

I think they should ban shares and give us all a break.

BAYLIS - 11 Mar 2008 21:09 - 26125 of 27111

Cuba great place NO PLASTIC BAGS.

BigTed - 11 Mar 2008 23:00 - 26126 of 27111

Ref Garyble's post 26100...
Today, Saltash shops will charge 5p per plastic bag in a Pay for the Bag Day organised by voluntary group Saltash Environmental Action.

My Address, just happens to be Saltash, Cornwall...
cant say i was a good boy though wihout using carrier bags, cos i was in Torquay for the day...

The 'Budget' will contain green issues, ie plastic bags, SEO with bio-bags should do well today. Further good news tomorrow when the Results/update released.

hewittalan6 - 12 Mar 2008 08:46 - 26129 of 27111

Could it be we are heading for a "holy trinity"????
Within a week (or so), we may see a budget that favours the industry SEO are in (or not), results that may contain something positive on the sales front (or not) and a golden cross on the charts!!!
If it came to pass, it would make for a very interesting week or two, IMO, and the arguments over whether it was sheer fluke or supreme management timing could keep us all amused for months.
Doubt it will come to pass personally, but a large holder I know is certain it will, and I will plump for the fluke option if it does.

garyble - 12 Mar 2008 08:47 - 26130 of 27111

More like a double-cross Alan!

hewittalan6 - 12 Mar 2008 08:54 - 26131 of 27111

A double cross is no fluke!!!!
It featured in the articles of association for the previous board.

blanche - 12 Mar 2008 09:25 - 26132 of 27111

Target for today for stay above that 1p.

hangon - 12 Mar 2008 12:47 - 26133 of 27111

I'm not aware of any business this company is a major force "in" - the sp tells it all. No Government meddling will resurect this polly - It is a dead parrot.

The recent sp- flurry was then and seems still to be no more than opportunistic crowing. Where is the supporting RNS telling us there is an order? This style of Reporting wastes the real purpose of the news service - and directors that attempt to misuse (can I say that?) their position shopuld be fined 10k every first time, double that next and so on. It must be investigated.
Grr.

tweenie - 12 Mar 2008 13:21 - 26134 of 27111

no tax on bags this year.
legislation in 2009.
I can almost taste that 'Jam tomorrow'...........again.
:-)

driver - 12 Mar 2008 13:36 - 26135 of 27111

WHAT Happened ??????????? Was there a Budget

kimoldfield - 12 Mar 2008 13:41 - 26136 of 27111

Seems I will be bringing my bottle of 55p dearer scotch home in an ordinary plastic bag for which I will have paid 5p (or more) :0(

tweenie - 12 Mar 2008 13:51 - 26137 of 27111

Is it just me or does every politician look strange.
Is it a pre requisite to do the job?

Whilst labour wins hands down on the wierd looking factor, I think the front bench of the tories wins, re the 'He's got a face you just want to punch' vote.

Still with a very very subsidised bar at the H.O. Parliament (have enjoyed a few cheap rounds-pleasant view of Thames), I doubt the extra duties will have any effect on the number of pissed politicians on the northern/piccadilly lines late at night.
;-)

oblomov - 12 Mar 2008 14:14 - 26138 of 27111

With one exception, tweenie. Charles Kennedy - how will he manage the booze increases on a mere MP's salary? It'll cost him tens of thousands of pounds extra.

hewittalan6 - 12 Mar 2008 15:13 - 26139 of 27111

The SP makes it look like the budget was a disappointment to someone.

oblomov - 12 Mar 2008 15:21 - 26140 of 27111

Why did the SP hit 1p then tumble? No great number of sales - many more buys than sells today. How can it do that?
