ASOS: BUY AT LOW PRICE!!!! (ASC)

wilco99 - 12 Sep 2003 15:52

ASOS have dropped quite significantly in the past week for no particular reason and I view this as the perfect opportunity to invest as I can see them bouncing right back up to the 5.50p mark in the next 2-3 weeks. STRONG BUY!!

tomasz - 11 Dec 2009 22:46 - 2733 of 5941

huge fight between Stanley and Steward today.I like Steward, i think he's right about potential and his price is pretty close to my humble 652, Stanley in other hand, i think is more sentiment perspective (or own business, undone.. ), but his price!...boy oh boy...i don't know what's happened today to him, someone crash his silver AMG probably...I would prefer Steward in January but quietly will pray for everyone to believe in Stanley's 350 madness ..see how many we could get for 350!! that would be a dream.. a christmas present..santa please..350 now :)) or even 200 :))

tomasz - 11 Dec 2009 23:14 - 2734 of 5941

bottom line is that if monday this will not drop further we may be in a trouble.fc

Broker snap: ASOS on super-premium 11-12-2009 13:28

It's a case of 'nice company, shame about the share price' for online fashion retailer ASOS in the eyes of Charles Stanley.

The broker has initiated coverage of the stock with a 'sell' recommendation and a price target of 350p, calling its rating 'primarily a valuation call'.

The fast growing company recently saw profit growth slow, with pre-tax profits in the six months to September up 9% at 4.4m, on sales 47% higher at 96.5m. Despite this, it is still a fast growing company in comparison with most of its bricks and mortar competitors, and this has led to a significant outperformance by the shares over the last 12 months relative to the FTSE All share, 'with particularly pronounced momentum in the past 3 months (+42%) and 1 month (+18%).'

As a result, Charles Stanley analyst Peter Smedley observes, the shares are on a 'super-premium valuation' of 27 times projected 2010 earnings per share, compared to a price/earnings ratio of 14 on projected earnings for the UK general retail sector. Such a rating means the shares are 'priced for perfection', in Smedley's view, which makes them vulnerable to a potential setback if the company fails to deliver the sort of growth the market is expecting.

'For now we have established 3 year estimates in line with consensus. However, we would not be surprised if those forecasts are not delivered,' the broker said, citing the company's 'aggressive investments in technology and marketing,' which will occupy management time, along with the 'major capacity planning projects the company is currently undertaking.'

Still hold with my prediction above 370 by Jan and back in.....I hope!!

tomasz - 14 Dec 2009 14:04 - 2736 of 5941

bit up..473..my hope is that this is just big boys sophisticated profit taking going on and will go down to 400, cause just this can save us.. .the thing is balerboy, i don't see them slowing down below 18% on average for the next 10 years and that gives me some sence of value today witch is lot more than today price, so for me we are trying trading at market's shyness-mood wich is scary-exciting.And Smedley can't calm me down with his PE forward projections...PE forward is a nonsense , making small number and stock looking steal so im not buying that.do you?
