ASOS: BUY AT LOW PRICE!!!! (ASC)

wilco99 - 12 Sep 2003 15:52

ASOS have dropped quite significantly in the past week for no particular reason and I view this as the perfect opportunity to invest as I can see them bouncing right back up to the 5.50p mark in the next 2-3 weeks. STRONG BUY!!

886 is truly mindboggling number...
wheather awsome , the team survivre so new WAGs creations more to come, not mention international sites start from Sep....lots of potential here.At 950 we're going with pe50, huge number, but lots of believe and im not suprise since eps was beaten by about 25%..that may be the case for 2011

tomasz - 25 Jun 2010 08:46 - 2926 of 5941

915!!! staggering!!!
must be many shorts get squeezed pushing this up like crazy

I had these at 50p and thought that it was overvalued.....

ahoj - 25 Jun 2010 11:23 - 2931 of 5941

I bought 50K at 85p and sold at 75p, so lost 5K. The fall in this market is only 2p!
Very good!

tomasz - 25 Jun 2010 11:26 - 2932 of 5941

tell you what..
focus on the future
900 may be huge number now
but this is going to be more than 30 in few years time..compare to that even 1000 doesn't looks big..

cynic - 25 Jun 2010 12:09 - 2933 of 5941

i shall just continue to watch in wonderment

halifax - 25 Jun 2010 12:34 - 2934 of 5941

MORGAN STANLEY RAISES ASOS PLC PRICE TARGET TO 980P FROM 725P;
rating overweight

cynic - 02 Jul 2010 18:56 - 2936 of 5941

the more i think about this company, the more i think it is now seriously over-valued.
who can deny that spending power in uk is heading south for at least the next 18 months, not only through heavier taxation, but also growing unemployment?
that being so, leaving aside the questionable (subjective view) quality of the products they sell, i can see sp coming coming back to earth with a bump.

will i marry money to mouth?
quite probably, though only quite modestly

mitzy - 03 Jul 2010 10:38 - 2937 of 5941

1000p soon.

cynic - 03 Jul 2010 11:19 - 2938 of 5941

mitzy - so why do you think my analysis above is wrong?

HARRYCAT - 03 Jul 2010 11:42 - 2939 of 5941

From this week's Shares mag:
"Despite increasing his 2012 earnings per share forecast (EPS) by 6% to 33.3p, Matthew McEachran of Singer has reluctantly downgraded his ASOS (ASC:AIM) recommendation to sell with a 725p price target.
His new recommendation is really a reflection of the shares second-quarter 80% gallop from 500p to 902p. The internet fashion retailer trades a prospective price/earnings ratio (PE) for 2011 of 35.9 times, almost a new all-time high. On a calendar 2011 PER of 29 times the rating is roughly 2.8 times that of the market and the sector. The groups PEG rating has more than doubled compared with the average over the last two years. Similarly the shares PE is three times that of the general retail sectors, compared with the previous average of 1.7 times. McEachran notes historically such valuations peaks have resulted in subsequent underperformance. Septembers proposed launch in the USA is to be followed shortly afterwards by expansion in to France and Germany. This increases the 660 million caps potential addressable market from 4.8 billion to 29 billion. Although international expansion is not without risk the decision to fulfill it from a sole domestic warehouse reduces the dangers involved.
There will be no investment in international infrastructure until it is fully justified.
The broker agrees ASOS will enjoy strong forward earnings growth but basically believes the valuation is ahead of events."
